
SSC JE Exam Pattern 2025: The Commission conducts the SSC JE exam to recruit the candidates for Junior Engineer Posts annually. The SSC JE exam consist of two Papers namely Paper 1 and 2. Exam pattern and syllabus plays a crucial role in the preparation. It helps to know about the topic-wise weightage and structure of each tier of the examination. The SSC JE Paper 1 is an objective-based examination consisting of 200 questions of one mark each. The duration of completing the examination is two hours. Also, a 0.25 negative marking is applicable for every incorrect answer in Paper I. On the other hand, SSC JE Paper 2 consists of 100 objective questions from the specific discipline chosen by candidates. For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded to the candidates and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The duration of the exam will be two hours. SSC JE Exam Pattern 2025 (Paper-1)
As mentioned above, SSC JE paper 1 is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) that contains objective-type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). There are three sections in the exam. The third section is further divided into three parts - Civil & Structural, Electrical and Mechanical. Candidates have to attempt questions from any one part only. The total duration of the exam is two hours. The question paper is set in both English and Hindi languages.

The questions are set in both English and Hindi languages. Candidates can attempt questions in any one language. The total duration of the exam is two hours.
