The Staff Selection Commission added various topics in the arithmetic section and added Comprehension in the English section. The Commission also revised the marking structure of the SSC MTS paper 1 and removed the negative marking from the Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving section. The number of questions was also changed for the Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving section. The SSC MTS paper 1 is conducted online as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE) and the candidates need to check all the details about the exam in the official notification.

The Commission dropped the tier 2 exam from the exam process and now there is only one online exam which decides the selection of the candidate. The total marks of the SSC MTS 2025 Tier 1 exam will be 270. There will be 90 questions and each question will be 3 marks. The total duration of the SSC MTS 2025 Tier 1 exam will be 90 minutes.
