Q:   Is pursuing M.Sc at Madras University a good choice?
A: 

Yes, MSc at Madras University is a good course which is offered at the PG level. MSc students are placed in top companies at top positions. MSc students can further go for PhD or diploma courses and can became lecturers, teachers, or can even go in Research field. Some of the specialisations in which MSc is provided is Computer Science and others. 

Q:   What is the cost of missing on attendance at Madras University?
A: 

As per the Madras University rule book, all students must have 75% and above attendance for appearing for the university exams. (Theory/Practical). If a Student fails to have the minimum attendance, the principal shall approve the shortage of attendance up to a maximum limit of 10% after collecting the prescribed fee of INR 250 each for Theory/Practical exams separately. Q:   What is the eligibility to apply for MSc course at University of Madras?
A: 

The University of Madras MSc eligibility criteria differs according to the students preference of a particular specialisation at the university. Please refer to the table below to view the specialisation wise requirements.

  1. For MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice Science, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised board.
  2. MSc in Statistics specialisation, a BSc in Statistics and Maths is a requirement. 
  3.  To avail admission for MSc in Computer Science, a degree from a recognised institution in BSc CS or BCA is a prerequisite. 
  4.  For MSc in Neuroscience, students should have passed in BSc in Life Science/ BSc in Physical/ Chemical Science from a recognised academic institution or should have either an MBBS or BAMS, BUMS,BDS,BNYS,BPT or BOT degrees.
