Q:   What is the fee for BTech CSE at Anna University?
A: 

The total tuition fee for the BTech CSE course is INR 2 lakh. The BTech CSE course is offered by JNN Institute of Engineering. Anna University BTech admission is based on candidates' performance in the TNEA entrance exam, followed by a counselling round. Candidates must fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the BTech course. The criteria is that the candidate must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with PCM with an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates).

Anna University is a public state university established in 1978. Anna University Chennai is recognised by the UGC and AIU. Anna University is accredited with an A grade by the NAAC. As per the NIRF 2023 ranking, Anna University has been ranked 13 among the top Universities in India and 20 in the Overall category. Anna University has 4 department campuses, that is, College of Engineering, Madras Institute of Technology, Alagappa College of Technology, and School of Architecture and Planning. Anna University campus is spread over 189 acres of land and is equipped with all the modern facilities.

Q:   Is Class 12 marks enough for Anna University admission?
A: 

For Anna University undergraduate courses, the minimum eligibility requirement is to pass Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates). However, Class 12 marks is not enough to apply for Anna University UG courses such as BE/ BTech. For Anna University BTech admission, candidates are also required to appear for TNEA counselling process. Basis of which Anna University will allocate the seats for BTech admission. For TNEA counselling, the University will consider the Class 12 marks. For Anna University PG admission, the minimum eligibility requirement is to have a graduation degree from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
