The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) JEE question paper will carry English as one of the sections, and the weightage allotted for the section is 60 questions. Check out some important tips and tricks to ace the preparation for the English Language section of the NCHMCT JEE exam:

  • Read reputable periodicals and newspapers every day, paying particular attention to the editorial section of the publications since many passages are taken from them.
  • Try talking to other candidates about the same chapter. Try to ask each other questions during the discussion, such as what the author's major purpose is in the passage, what can be inferred from the passage, and what arguments would support or refute the author's claims in the passage.
  • Use any decent grammar book for Class 10 to practice your grammar. Classics like Martin's English Grammar and Wren are excellent preparation tools.
  • To improve your vocabulary, find the meaning of every word you come across in any book, newspaper or TV in the dictionary and try to memorise them
  • Make sure you attempt NCHMCT JEE previous years’ question paper, as it will help you get an idea on what you may witness in the NCHMCT JEE exam ( (in terms of pattern, and difficulty level)
