In case the number of applicants are more and exam is conducted in multiple shifts then authority will calculate the normalised score of all the applicants and after that the merit list will be prepared.
Procedure to ensure equivalency in the difficulty level of ICAR AIEEA PG exam : -
(1) Raw marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score (percentile).
(2) The NTA Score for the Raw Marks for all the shifts/sessions will be merged for further processing for deciding the allocation.
The overall Merit/Rank List will be prepared by NTA separately for ICAR AIEEA PG exam. In the event of candidates getting equal marks in the exam, the merit will be determined in the following order:
(i) The candidate scoring less negative marks will be rated higher in merit
(ii) the candidate higher in age would be rated higher in merit

ICAR AIEEA PG Merit List 2026
A single ICAR merit list of selected students is expected to be published on the official site of the exam. In a situation wherein two or more students secure the same marks in the exam, the ICAR merit list is made by taking into account the marks obtained by candidates in major subjects, which are - Mathematics/ Biology/ Agriculture in ICAR AIEEA. If the tie persists, then the ICAR merit list will be prepared based on age criteria. A category-wise rank list will be prepared as per the reservation category information shared in the online ICAR AIEEA PG application form.
Apart from this, a separate ICAR merit list is maintained by the council for each major subject group. The final category-wise merit list for ICAR AIEEA is prepared basis of the reservation category cited by aspirants in their OMR sheet. Based on this ICAR rank list, students are called for ICAR AIEEA counselling.
Tie-Breaker in ICAR AIEEA PG 2026
In a scenario wherein two or more students secure the same marks in ICAR AIEEA for PG course admissions.
- The candidate scoring fewer negative marks will be rated higher in merit
- Comparing the percentage in Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) - In case of a tie, the merit is determined basis of the OGPA/percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying Bachelor’s degree examination.
- Comparing Age – In case the tie persists even after the above point, then the older candidate would be ranked higher.

All (100 per cent) seats of the four ICAR-DUs namely, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and the Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) and CAUs, viz. RLBCAU, Jhansi and Dr RPCAU, Pusa are also filled up through the same examination.
