A blend of academic excellence, vibrant culture, and strong peer support at KMC.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students from the English Honours department get placed in our college. The highest package is up to 7.5 LPA, the average is around 3.2 LPA, and the lowest is approximately 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, Zomato, TCS, and several content and marketing startups. Internships are widely available. Nearly 80% of students do internships during their course, especially in NGOs, media houses, and publishing firms. The top roles offered include content writer, marketing executive, PR assistant, copywriter, and editorial intern.
Infrastructure: The college has well-equipped classrooms, a central library with a vast collection of literary texts and journals, and free Wi-Fi in academic blocks. The English department also has a seminar room for interactive lectures and departmental activities. Hostel facilities are decent but limited. The mess food is hygienic, though not exceptional. Medical facilities, sports grounds, and an active dramatics society add to the experience. The hostel location is very selective.
Faculty: Faculty is experienced, highly qualified, and very supportive. Most teachers have PhDs and are approachable even outside class hours. The curriculum is intensive and industry-relevant, especially for those planning careers in writing, academia, or communication. The semester exams are moderately challenging, with an average pass percentage of around 90%. Internal assessments and tutorials keep students engaged throughout.
Other: I chose B.A. English Honours because of my passion for literature and writing. The best part of the course is the depth of literary analysis, critical theory, and discussions. I do wish the college had more structured placement assistance for humanities students. Still, the peer group, faculty guidance, and exposure through societies make up for it. Events like departmental fests, the dramatics society, and campus lectures enrich the student experience immensely.

Overall infrastructure is good but needs some improvement; faculty is amazing.
Placements: There are approximately 75 students in my batch. Internships are provided by different companies as well as by our college. Our college internship is PKIS, which is only for KMC students. Through these internships, students enhance their skills and knowledge. The duration of this internship is 3 months, and the stipend depends on the tasks allotted and the duration of the internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is good overall, but there should be AC in all the classrooms, and the quality of the water purifier should be improved. Overall, the infrastructure is good, especially because infrastructure is made to take care of PWD students as well. There is a lift, tactile path, and many more things in the college that make the campus accessible and safe for PWD students.
Faculty: The faculty of my college is good; some facilities are not good, but the faculty of my course is amazing. They are all approachable, helpful, and educated. They are from good backgrounds and always clear doubts. Exams are held once a semester, that is, end-term exams, and the questions are quite easy to attempt.
Other: My first preference was not English Honours, but now I don't regret taking it because all my professors are very supportive and helpful. They always guide us. I had heard from my seniors and fellow classmates that KMC is the best college for pursuing English Honours, so I froze my seat when I got it on the first list.

Through the windows of Kirori Mal College: The faculty, infrastructure, facilities and crowd.
Placements: Final year students who secure more than 8.5 CGPA are qualified for the placements. Companies like Zomato, Accenture, and Scholastic India recruit the final year students as content writers and research developers. Talking about the opportunities, various organizations hire English Hons. students for the roles of content intern, social media manager, or as a research developer. Our seniors work as content writers and publish articles in various local newspapers of the Delhi University.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure of our English Department, it is fully ventilated having spacious rooms relatively to other departments. The college provides Wi-Fi facility throughout the premises. The classrooms have good arrangement of desks and benches with a projector. The hostel is one of the best hostel all over the University as it provides all the basic amenities and at a low expenditure, they provide the best meals. The facilities include common rooms, laundry service, lawn and so on. The hostel provides medical facilities having a separate room where all the types of medicine kits are available. The college provides a huge sports complex ground where all the types of games and sports are played.
Faculty: The teaching faculty holds degrees of M.Phil and Ph.D. and they indeed make us think rationally and emphasize to use critical analysis in our daily life. The professors have vast knowledge in their specific fields and they bestow us with all the background and current information about the specific topics. Critical thinking helps us live life in a professional setting. The semester exams are above average and the difficulty level is quite good. The passing criteria is securing grade above F, otherwise you will be failed.
Other: The English faculty is one of the prestigious and the earliest departments in the college known for its teaching and knowledge legacy. One of the main reason to choose this specific course is that through literature one can see the true nature of a society as literature serve as a reflection of society and includes all the fields of knowledge. To be honest, I don't want to change the curriculum of this course. The college provides various scholarships like NSP, fee concessions for needy students, welfare project schemes for differently abled persons and students having a single parent. Various societies host their annual fest, webinars, workshops and events throughout the year. The college has its own annual cultural fest known as Renaissance. The colleges near to this college are Ramjas college, Hansraj College and Hindu College. The diversity is too goof as the crowd comes in from all over the country.

Placements: At this college 20-25% of students were placed in this institute. Our college provides average placements opportunities. Average package of our institute was 2-4 LPA. Most of the students opted for the Masters degree. Top roles offered in our course sales, marketing etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities at the college were top-notch. Infrastructure of the college was well developed and maintained. College provides very good facilities to the students. Hostel facility was also available in our course. Sports and medical facilities were available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers of our college were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality at the college was impressive. College has highly experienced teachers. This course curriculum followed in our course was relevant. Semester exams were not that hard to pass.

It is one of the best campuses of DU.
Placements: Our class has 120 students. Almost 100% of students passed out this course. Companies did not visit our college because of covid. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Many regional companies visit our college to recruit students.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. The hostel facilities are good. Wi-Fi facility is available in the hostel. The hostel rooms have coolers. They provide coolers to toppers. The hostel fee is Rs. 35,000 for 6 months. Labs are well-established. The food served in the canteen is affordable. Our college has a gymnasium. A playground is available in our college. Our college has a well-established basketball ground.
Faculty: Our teachers are good and helpful. They provide PDFs and notes. The course curriculum is not much difficult. You can easily pass the exam by focusing at least one month before the exam. The curriculum is designed keeping in mind the need of today's world. They are cooperative. Exams are conducted strictly.
Other: Our college provides internal and external scholarships to students. The scholarship is given based on economic status and marks obtained by students in their previous classes. Many events and fests are held in our college.

Hello Arya,
well It is not possible to get admission with these percentage as the first cut-off goes around 96% on an average every year and till the second cut-off. The seats get full for this course so I will advise you to go for some other alternative options from the start.
