AIBE XVII Paper Analysis by Students

Y Shukla shared that AIBE was an easy level exam, and most candidates carried cabin trolly bags to attempt the examination. The centre officials allowed candidates to carry Bare Acts with Short Notes too. He shared that most of the question paper was easy.

Another test taker A P Singh shared too shared that the question paper was easy, and some of them were based on Justice Bhagwati's PIL cases. He also shared that he did not carry Bare Acts, yet expects a score above 50 as the question paper was so easy. Moreover,
Pratistha from a test centre in Delhi shared that all the questions were asked from Bare Acts, and the question paper was easy. The overall conduct of AIBE was fine, but exam centre could have been nearer to her location as she had to travel from Vaishali to Rohini, Delhi.
Vishal Mehra, practising lawyer at Rohini Court- Delhi, shared that the question paper was easy and he expects over 70 marks. He said, the test centre allocation for him was best as he was allotted nearest test centre in Rohini, Delhi only, which is close to his residence.
Rahul Sharma shared that AIBE 17 was his first attempt, and the question paper was easy. He also added that BCI should remove Bare Acts from AIBE as most questions are asked directly from it, and the paper should rather be based on Legal Theory, which is essential for practising law. He also shared that the exam centre not near to his location, so he had to travel a long distance.
On the other hand, Shyambhavi who attempted AIBE for the first time, shared that the question paper was easy. She added that BCI should add more questions based on Bare Acts, as they were unclear which sections to be focused on, for questions based on Torts. She shared that candidates can clear AIBE with sufficient practice (past year papers).
Sai Krishna, who completed his LLB graduation from the University of Delhi, shared that this was his first attempt for AIBE. He added that the question paper was too easy. Pointing out the question he said, that there was 1 question IT Act, based on Jurisdiction only, and most questions were asked from CrPc, CPC, Arbitration, IPC, Indian Evidence Act, Torts etc. He also shared that BCI should provide admit card for AIBE few days prior to the exam date, as he had to travel from Banglore (reached early morning) and take the exam at Delhi test centre.
Kashif Raza, shared that AIBE 17 was easier than anyone could have expected. He recommended that BCI should increase the difficulty level, and it was an open book exam as the candidates can easily attempt exam by finding answers in Bare Acts. He added that he attempted 70+ questions without Bare Acts.
Advay Khan shared that since the exam was an open book exam, they could easily attempt the question paper. He added that BCI should provide clear instructions on Bare Acts as the last minute announcements created lot of incoveniences for most candidates.
What after AIBE?
The exam authority will now publish a provisional answer key within next 10 days, expected by February 15, 2023. This answer key will help candidates in determining their expected score with respect to the qualifying criteria of AIBE 2023. Moreover, the exam authority will also give candidates a chance to raise objections on the answer key, and consider all the objections if found correct. They will revise the answer key accordingly before declaring AIBE 2023 results.

When will AIBE 17 results be declared?
The results of AIBE XVII is expected to be announced on or after February 20, 2023. AIBE 17 results will mention qualifying status for the test taker as Pass or Fail apart from details like roll number, qualifying status. There will be no mention of marks obtained by candidates out of total scores. Candidates who PASS AIBE 17 will be issued the Certificate of Practice (CoP), which is mandatory to practice in a court of law.
The COP will be issued to all AIBE qualified candidates tentatively by March 2023.
AIBE 2023 Expected Cut off
The expected cutoff marks for AIBE 17 are according to the exam qualifying marks only. The drop in cutoff marks of AIBE XVII will only be determined if there are any wrong questions/ answers in the exam. The wrong questions or answers will be verified during answer key objection window only. Till then, the AIBE 17 expected cutoff marks are as under:
