Candidates applying for FTII JET for admission at Film and Television Institute of India must check the number of seats available at the institute for each course and category. The Film and Television Institute of India has released the FTII JET seat matrix for all 11 courses offered through FTII JET. The category-wise seat intake for all programmes is available in FTII JET 2026 admission prospectus.  

FTII, Pune will offer admission to only those registered candidates who will appear for the exam, meet the eligibility, reservation criteria and FTII JET cut off, and apply for admission until seats are left at the institute. To be eligible to take the examination, candidates must register at official website. The FTII JET registration process is ongoing. FTII JET 2026 for Stage 1 will be held on April 26, 2026, at multiple exam centres.

Yes, candidates can apply for more than one course from each of the two groups on FTII JET application form. To successfully submit online form, candidates will have to page following application fee.

Q:   In how many cities does FTII conducts the FTII JET entrance exam?

According to previous year's prospectus released by FTII, the FTII JET entrance exam is conducted in 26 cities. The names of exam cities are shared by the institute in its admission prospectus. But, students must note that this number may or may not change for every admissio cycle.

Q:   Is the FTII JET conducted in offline mode or online?
A: 

The Film and Television of Institute of India Joint Entrance Test (FTII JET) is conducted in offline i.e. pen and paper mode. The question and answer booklet will be distributed to the candidate at least 10 minutes before the commencement of exam. The question paper will be MCQ-based and candidates will have to mark the correct option in the answer booklet.
