Courses Offered Through FTII JET 2026
FTII is India’s premier Film and TV institute and offers specialised programmes for candidates who want to make a career in the Film and TV industry. The programmes offered through FTII are divided into two wings (Film Wing and TV Wing), under which there are different courses of different durations. The courses are as mentioned in the table below.

On clearing the Joint Entrance Test (JET), students can get admission into Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) as well as the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of India (SRFTI). These two premiere institutes are the conducting body of FTII JET as well. Candidates who qualify in this exam will be eligibile to take up film making related courses in either of the two institutes.
The Film and Television Institute of India lays down the age limit for admission to offered courses through FTII JET entrance exam in its admission prospectus. An 18 year old student is not eligible to apply for FTII JET exam. The minimum age requirement for the exam is 21 years.

As per admission process of FTII JET entrance exam, candidates who wish to get admission at this institute have to appear for 2 stages. Students who are selected in first stage can take Stage 2 exam. After both stages are over, selected candidates are called for further admission process, including interview, counselling and medical test. Candidates who will pass in all stages will be able to secure a seat at FTII.
The institute offers the following scholarships based on merit and performance credits during the students' time there.
- Entrance Exam Merit - Given to toppers in each of the film wing courses; INR 12,500 per year.
- 1st Semester Merit - Given to the first 3 toppers; Common Module (Editing, Sound Recording & Sound Design, Art Direction & Production Design and Screenplay Writing); 1st topper get INR 24,000, 2nd gets INR 21,500 and the 3rd gets INR 19,000 every year
- Given to acting topper; INR 24,000 / year
- Given to screenplay writing topper; INR 24,000 / year
- 2nd to 5th Semester Merit - Given to the 1st and 2nd topper of each course; INR 13,500 and INR 11,500 respectively.

Yes, candidates can apply for more than one course from each of the two groups on FTII JET application form. To successfully submit online form, candidates will have to page following application fee.

FTII Admission Process 2026
To get admission at FTII, candidates need to first visit its official website and click on the online application link for JET. After that, candidates will have to fill out the detailed FTII JET application form. While filling out the application form, candidates are supposed to upload their required documents and then pay the FTII JET application fee to successfully submit the application form.
Candidates who successfully submit the application form are issued the FTII JET admit card to appear in the written exam. Candidates who qualify in the exam as per the FTII JET result 2026 are called for subsequent rounds of Orientation / Interviews. The students will be selected based on their FTII JET score, document verification, medical test, and performance in the interview.

No, a candidate cannot fill FTII JET application form offline. The Film and Television Institute of India releases JET registration form in online mode and candidates have to fill and submit the same in online form only. No offline application form will be accepted by FTII for entrance exam.
