Karnataka PGCET 2023: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released the Karnataka PGCET 2023 results on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in or cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Karnataka PGCET 2023 Answer Keys

KEA releases the Karnataka PGCET 2023 admit card in two phases. Initially, the test takers are able to access the provisional answer key for all sets. Candidates are allowed to raise objections against the Karnataka PGCET provisional answer key. Based on the objections filed by the candidates, KEA will draft a final answer key that will be used for score evaluation. KEA will release the Karnataka PGCET final answer key along with the results on the official website, i.e. cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

Karnataka PGCET 2023 Admit Card

KEA releases the Karnataka PGCET 2023 admit card for all the candidates who filled the online application form before the deadline. Candidates need to carry a hard copy of the PGCET admit card on the exam day. Candidates can download the Karnataka PGCET hall ticket by following the step-wise process mentioned below:

Q:   What is the counselling schedule for admissions based on Karnataka PGCET?

A:

Soon after the declaration of the Karnataka PGCET merit list, candidates qualifying the exam can participate in the Karnataka PGCET counselling for MBA admission across the state. The schedule for counselling is announced after the result announcement. Karnataka PGCET counselling date 2023 will be announced soon. In the counselling round, the allotment of seats is done based on merit and priority options. The counselling process includes candidates' registration, document verification, option entry, and seat allotment. Selected candidates have to pay the admission fee to secure final admission in the allotted college.

Q:   When will PGCET Karnataka counselling start?

A:

The dates for Karnataka PGCET will be announced after the result separately. Qualified candidates need to appear for Karnataka PGCET counselling. Candidates are called for the counselling process based on their ranks. Candidates are advised to attend the counselling only if they have the required percentage of marks in the qualifying exam (50 per cent for unreserved categories and 45% for reserved categories).

Q:   How many rounds are there in Karnataka PGCET counselling?

A:

Karnataka Examinations Authority is responsible for conducting the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) in the state of Karnataka. The participating institutes in PGCET Karnataka offer seats to qualified candidates based on their performance in the entrance exam. KEA allocates these seats in two allotment rounds. However, before the real allotment round starts, KEA releases a mock seat allotment result for all the candidates who completed the option entry process. This mock allotment helps candidates to understand the process and the seat allocation system.

  2. Access the ‘Admissions’ tab followed by selecting PGCET-2023 from the drop-down menu
  3. Click on the Karnataka PGCET 2023 admit card download link
  4. Enter the login credentials followed by clicking the ‘Sign-in’ button
  5. Check all details in the Karnataka PGCET 2023 admit card and download the same

Karnataka PGCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET exam for admission to MBA courses offered by institutes in full time and part-time. Karnataka PGCET eligibility criteria for MBA admission is as follows.

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria for Full-Time MBA

  • Candidates must hold a three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute.
  • UR category candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent in the qualifying exam. On the contrary, reserved category candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate of 45 per cent.

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria for Part-Time MBA

  • Candidates must hold three years of work experience in the relevant field in addition to the eligibility criteria of full-time MBA course on or before July 31 of the admission session.
  • The current employer must be located within 40 KM radial distance from the college of MBA admission.

Karnataka PGCET Registration 2023

KEA releases the Karnataka PGCET application form online. Candidates can complete the Karnataka PGCET 2023 registration by visiting the official website, i.e. cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates filling the online application form will have to pay an application fee based on their category.

Soon after the application process concludes, KEA will host a window for application form correction. Candidates who might have made errors while filling the form, can use the Karnataka PGCET application form correction window to make modifications in the details.

No, Karnataka PGCET is not compulsory to take admission in VTU. KPGCET is one of the accepted exams for admission in VTU. But, VTU also accepts other exams such as CAT/XAT/KMAT/CMAT, etc. for its MBA admission.
