CAT previous year paper practice is essential for a good performance in the exam. If you are preparing for CAT 2025, then you must check the CAT 2024 question paper to know what to study and how. CAT 2024 Question Paper

there was a slight change in the exam format in 2024. CAT 2024 question paper had 68 questions instead of 66. There were 2 extra questions in the DILR section but the time limit was the same. Overall, the CAT question paper 2024 was of moderate difficulty level. Check here an overview of the CAT question paper 2024.

CAT 2024 question paper: Section wise break up

  • VARC: This section CAT paper 2024 had 16 RC based questions and there were no parajumbles. Rest of the CAT questions were on parasummary, paracompletion and odd sentence. Difficulty level of VARC questions was easy to moderate.
  • DILR: In the DILR section, there were 5 sets. Most of the questions were in sets of 3-4. The total number of questions were 22, but most of them were doable. Difficulty level of DILR questions was moderate.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: This section of CAT 2024 had 8-10 questions from Arithmetic. Candidates could complete the section on time. There were 1-2 question each from rest of the topics of CAT Quantitative Aptitude. Difficulty level of questions was moderate to tough.

CAT 2023 Question Paper

CAT 2023 question paper was moderate to tough for all test sessions. There was no surprise element. VARC was dominated by RC, Quantitative Aptitude was dominated by Arithmetic and Algebra. CAT 2025 aspirants must understand the benefits of solving CAT last year papers, sample papers and mock tests, during CAT preparation:
