The total tuition fee is inclusive of admission fee, caution deposit, exam fee, and charges for many other facilities offered during the programme such as laboratory, library, etc. The SASTRA University fee is taken from the official sources and is subject to change. For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at SASTRA University, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of SASTRA University are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

Candidates are allotted a seat during TANCET counselling based on the following reservation criteria:

• Open Competition (OC): 31%
• Backward Classes (BC): 26.5%
• Most Backward Class and Identified Communities: 20%
• SC (Arunthathiyar): 3%
• Scheduled Caste: 15%
• Scheduled Tribes: 1%
• Backward Class Muslims: 3.5%

SASTRA University MBA admission is based on a national-level entrance exams followed by a Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the university. In order to be eligible for this programme, students must have completed their Class 12 and undergraduate degree in the relevant stream. The entrance exams considered for admission, include CAT, XAT, AIMAT, CMAT and AIMCAT. Those with a valid score in one of the afore-mentioned exams are eligible. The application process of SASTRA University was conducted in both online and offline modes. However, starting the academic year 2022, the procedure has shifted completely to online mode. Aspirants seeking admission can visit the official website of the deemed university, apply online and pay the application fee.
