Competitive exams such as TS ICET require extensive preparation. TS ICET preparation plan changes with every exam session. What level of maths is there in TG ICET exam? Yes, you can crack the exam. The TG ICET tests fundamental mathematical concepts primarily based on the 10th and 12th-grade levels. Consistent practice of arithmetic, basic algebra, and statistics will help you secure a good score.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of TSICET exam?
A: 
As per the Telangana ICET marking scheme for every correct response marked, candidates will fetch 1 mark, irrespective of the section. Additionally, the marking scheme of TSICET exam states no negative marking in case of incorrect responses marked by the candidate. Moreover, there is no negative marking for questions left unattempted. All 200 questions of TSICET exam will have the common marking scheme discussed above. With no sectional time limit in the online exam, candidates can navigate across sections and questions of TSICET exam.

TS ICET exam duration is 150 minutes. Candidates have to answer 200 questions within 150 minutes. Candidates must answer each question within 45 seconds to complete exam on time.

Communication Ability: In TSICET 2026, you will find questions in the Communication Ability section that will be mostly from broad topics like— Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Terminology and Concepts in Computer and Business Contexts (letters, reports, memoranda, agenda, minutes etc). Candidates should refer to high school grammar books to improve vocabulary and grammar. They should read newspapers and magazines. Note down the new words whenever you come across them.

Q:   How to score high in TSICET exam? Should I practise TS ICET mock tests?
A: 
To score high in TSICET exam a candidate must follow an approach to attempt the questions for which he/she knows the answer, and guess the question for which he/she doesn't know the answer. Since there is no negative marking, candidates must attempt all questions. In the speed-based test, one must aim to answer the questions as soon as possible. Coming to TSICET, a test taker has to answer each question in less than 45 seconds to complete the exam on time. To score high in TSICET candidates will have to work on their speed as well as accuracy. Speed and accuracy can be improved by practising previous years papers and mock tests. While answering questions, candidates must not stick on one question for more than 40 seconds. After answering all the questions in 40 seconds or less, candidates will still have five to ten minutes to review the responses.
Q:   What is the sectional time limit in TG ICET?
A: 

There is no sectional time limit enforced in the TG ICET exam. Candidates are provided a composite duration of 150 minutes to navigate freely across all 200 questions and manage their time independently.

Q:   What are some important topics included in Communication Ability section of TSICET exam?
A: 

The Communication Ability section of the TSICET exam has four sub-sections. These sub-sections compile to fetch 50 questions. The division of topics with weightage under the Communication Ability is as follows:

  • Vocabulary: 10
  • Business and Computer Terminology: 10
  • Functional Grammar: 15
  • Reading Comprehension: 15

With respect to the question weight, 60 per cent of the questions in the Communication Ability section are based on Functional Grammar and Reading Comprehension. While the remaining 40 per cent is fetched by questions on Vocabulary and Business and Computer Terminology.

MGU, Nalgonda has not notified about any change in the issuance date for TSICET hall ticket. Any change in the date for ICET hall ticket download is notified on the official exam website.
