TGICET Exam Preparation Checklist- Dos
- Choose Study Environment carefully: This is one point that many candidates ignore, but in reality, it has a great deal of importance in helping them focus on what they study. A good study environment helps candidates grasp more information and retain it better than they would be able to in an unfit environment. Various studies have backed this point with ample evidence. It is an ideal option for a student to pick out one place in the house and check if this place has ample light and is free from noise and other forms of distractions.
Note: Candidates should keep their mobile phones away as they can be distracting while studying for the TGICET exam. If a student has created a study plan or routine, they should paste it on a board and cross-check their performance based on the schedule created.
- Regulate Study Time- Another important point that many test takers ignore is the need to regulate study time. One needs to focus and study hard but not overdo it, maintaining a balance between study and personal care or recreation of the mind. This ensures that the study regime does not turn out to be stressful in nature. The idea is that if a student is studying, they need to keep in mind to take intervals in the middle, as such breaks help in better retention of information absorbed by the brain.
- Review for 15 Minutes at The End of Each Day- Candidates should keep the TSICET 2026 syllabus close by. They should put a tick on those sections that have been covered. Also, while covering any topic, candidates can make short notes in their own language, draw patterns from the data analysis section, or jot down the formulas to solve problems from the sequence and series for better remembrance. They should make sure to review those notes for at least 15 minutes once a particular topic has been covered for the day. This revision process helps in remembering all topics better in the end.
- Create a Personalised Study Plan- It is a known fact that having a personalised study plan is important to crack not just the TSICET 2026 exam but even other MBA entrance exams. Success stories of toppers often feature the common thread of following a smart study plan. Exam scores are closely related to two key factors: academic quotient and test-taking quotient. It is suggested that candidates create a TSICET preparation plan based on their mock tests performance and the solving of TS ICET sample question papers. Here, a student acts as their own mentor and judges areas of improvement and areas of strength. Building a smart study plan around these two factors will help them in both preparation and the ability to solve questions quickly.
TGICET Exam Preparation Checklist- Don’ts
- Studying Late at Night- If a candidate is a working professional or in the final year of graduation, their daytime is largely occupied with various activities. In such a situation, if they plan to study for the exam by staying awake late at night, they are only creating pressure for the mind. The brain cannot work round the clock or for long hours without sufficient rest. Therefore, even if a student manages to study by staying awake for long hours at night, it will hardly be qualitative in nature. It is better to divide the study time between 2-3 hours at night and 1-2 hours in the early morning. By doing this, the student will also manage to give rest to the body and study in fruitful ways.
- Studying in Bed- Often due to space constraints and most of the time because of personal choice, candidates prefer to study in bed. However, this habit needs to be altered to make the study regime more actionable. The brain is hard-wired to sleep in the bedroom, which can automatically affect a student's attention span to a considerable extent.
- Last Minute Cramming Session- This is often denoted as the "pulling all-nighters" habit, which affects the performance of most candidates on the final day of the exam. Last-minute cram sessions do not allow the brain to absorb most of the information and retain it at a quality level. Thus, candidates are recommended to avoid this habit and consider it an important guideline for the TSICET 2026 exam if they wish to score high and secure a seat in any reputed MBA college in Telangana.
