The NEET MDS 2025 counselling Online Stray Vacancy Round Result was declared on September 3, 2025. As many as 116 candidates have been allotted seats, in the fourth and last round of NEET MDS Counselling 2025. The institute reporting process is being conducted till September 8, 2025

The registration and choice-filling processes were conducted from August 26, 2025, to August 31, 2025. According to the Clear Vacancy list released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), there were 149 seats available in this round, and two new seats were added.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is the conducting authority for NEET MDS 2025. Based on the number of vacant seats, the number of rounds of NEET MDS counselling 2025 may be extended. The NEET MDS 2025 counselling process began on June 24, 2025

The NEET MDS 2025 result was declared on May 15, 2025. As many as 29,220 candidates appeared for the exam, out of which 16,225 candidates have qualified. Only those who have qualified for the exam by securing the NEET MDS 2025 cutoff are eligible to participate in the NEET MDS counselling 2025.

NBE released the NEET MDS 2025 merit list for All India Quota (AIQ) 50 per cent seats. This merit list carries the Roll Numbers and Application IDs of the candidates who are eligible to participate in the NEET MDS counselling 2025. Individual scorecards on AIQ 50 per cent were released on May 24, 2025. The NEET MDS 2025 counselling process for the academic year 2025-26 will be concluded for both the All India and State levels. 

The NEET MDS 2025 exam was conducted on April 19, 2025. As many as 30,435 candidates had registered for the exam. 

Q:   When did MCC announce the dates for NEET MDS 2025 counselling?
A: 

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) announced the NEET MDS 2025 counselling dates on June 20, 2025. There were four rounds of NEET MDS counselling 2025, which were conducted from June 24, 2025, to September 8, 2025. No additional round was conducted.

Q:   What will be the venue for NEET MDS 2025 counselling?
A: 

NEET MDS counselling 2025 is being conducted online. Candidates participating in the counselling of NEET MDS 2025 have to register on the official website of MCC to attend it. Candidates qualifying for NEET MDS 2025 with the minimum cut off is one of the eligibility criteria to participate in the counselling rounds. The counselling process for NEET MDS 2025 began on June 24, 2025, and will be conducted till September 8, 2025. Registered candidates can exercise choices for college and course for NEET MDS 2025 seat allotment. MCC will release the seat allotment result based on choices declared, availability of seats in college and course, reservation factor, etc.

NEET MDS Seat Allotment 2025

MCC will release the seat allotment result on the scheduled dates for each round. NEET MDS Counselling 2025 Process

The NEET MDS 2025 counselling process will be conducted in online mode, except for the last step, which is institute reporting and document verification. involve the following steps:

  • Registration
  • Choice Filling and Locking
  • Seat allotment
  • Institute reporting

NEET-MDS-Counselling

Registration

  • To participate in the NEET MDS 2025 counselling, a candidate has to register himself/ herself on the portal of MCC
  • He/ she had to visit the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in and select “MDS Medical Counselling”
  • Now select “New Registration” and proceed with the registration process
  • To register, a candidate needs to enter the following information: NEET MDS roll number, the application number, date of birth, etc.
  • Upon completion of the registration process, the candidate will receive the login credentials for his/ her registered account

Completing the form and filling in the requisite details

  • Candidates now have to fill in the details such as father’s name, address, category, etc., in the registration form and complete it
  • One must note that the details filled in during this stage of registration cannot be changed later, and thus, a candidate must fill in this information carefully

Registration fee

  • After completing the registration form, a candidate needs to pay a non-refundable registration fee
  • Without paying the registration fee, they will not be able to submit the registration form
  • The registration fee for NEET MDS counselling 2025 has to be paid online (Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking)
  • After the payment is processed successfully, a registration slip will be displayed
  • The candidate must print this registration slip and keep it safe for future use

Choice filling and locking of preferences

The choice filling and locking processes are described below.

  • Candidates have to log in into their registered account on the MCC portal
  • They then have to choose from among the choices provided on the left side of the screen
  • To add to the list, select the “+” button provided after every option
  • The option selected by the candidate will move from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen
  • The candidate can also change the order of preference by moving the options up or down in the list
  • Once they are satisfied with the selection, they must click on “Save and continue” followed by “Save and go home page” to exit
  • Take a printout of the choices filled and keep it safe for future reference
  • This process can be repeated after every round and the choices can be edited for the subsequent round

Seat Allotment Result

Based on the choices filled and locked by candidates, MCC releases the seat allotment result for NEET MDS 2025 counselling.

Institute Reporting

Once a candidate accepts the seat allotted to him/her, the next step is to visit the allotted institute for document verification and admission completion. Unless a candidate completes this step, his/her seat allotment will be revoked. In case candidates wish to upgrade their seats, then they have to resign from the allotted seat and participate in the next round of counselling.

Q:   I forgot to lock my choices for NEET MDS counselling. Will I get a seat?
A: 

Choice filling in the given deadline is mandatory for seat allotment. If you have filled in the choices and saved them, they will be considered during the seat allotment process. However, if you haven't filled in the choices, you will have to wait till the next round of NEET MDS counselling 2024. Candidates do have to declare choice for college and course in the given timeframe. They also have to lock the choice otherwise it gets automatically locked after the deadline and candidates can't modify them. Seats will be allotted in different counselling rounds based on choice declaration, availability of seats in particular college and course, reservation factor etc.

Q:   Who conducts the NEET MDS counselling?
A: 

NEET MDS counselling is held by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). NBE is the conducting body of the exam. Candidates have to register on the official website to participate in the counselling. A total of four rounds of counsleling will be conducted for allotment of 50% All India Quota seats. Respective state authorities will be conducting counselling for rest 50% seat allotment. Dates and crucial deatils for NEET MDS counselling is released along with official information brochure on the official website.

Q:   How many choices can I fill during NEET MDS counselling?
A: 

There is no limit on the number of choices that a candidate can fill during the counselling of NEET MDS. These choices, however, should be in the order of preference as desired by the candidate. It must be noted choices have to be locked in the given deadline other it gets automatically locked. Candidates are advised to fill choices carefully as it can't be modified once the timeframe ends. Seats will be allotted based on choice declared by candidates and other factors. Total four rounds of NEET MDS counselling is held for allotment of 50% All India quota seats.

Documents Required for NEET MDS counselling 2025

A candidate who was allotted a seat through the NEET MDS 2025 counselling had to report to the allocated institute to verify documents. For confirmation of the seat allocated, he/she needed to carry the following documents

  • NEET MDS scorecard 2025
  • NEET MDS Admit Card 2025
  • BDS degree certificate
  • BDS mark sheets
  • Internship Completion Certificate (stating that the candidate has completed his/ her internship on or before June 30, 2024)

Q:   Is it necessary to report at institutes even if I want to upgrade my seat allotted in NEET MDS counselling?
A: 

Yes, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) states that it is necessary to report to the institute first and then opt for resignation. MCC states, "Candidates willing to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 have to report at the allotted institute/college with original documents of round 1 and complete the admission formalities. During the completion of admission formalities, if the candidate wishes to upgrade then he/she has to give willingness for upgradation in the college."

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria to participate in the NEET MDS counselling Round 2?
A: 

Candidates have to fulfill the following criteria to participate in the NEET MDS 2025 counselling Round 2:

  • Candidates who did not register in Round 1
  • Candidates who were not allotted seat in Round 1
  • Candidates who have opted for upgradation and resigned from the seat allotted in Round 1.

Candidates who have Resigned / Not reported in Round-1 need not register again.

 

Q:   Is it mandatory to bring original documents for NEET MDS counselling institute reporting?
A: 

Yes, it is mandatory to carry the original documents at the institute reporting process of the NEET MDS counselling process. Although candidates can carry the photocopies as a backup, but during document verification, they will have to present the original documents. To be on the safer side, it is best to carry both original and photocopy of the necessary documents.

Q:   What is the fees to be paid during the online registration for NEET MDS counselling?
A: 

At the time of registration for NEET MDS counselling, a candidate needs to pay two kinds of fee, refundable and non refundable.  Non-refundable: A candidate who wishes to participate in the counselling of NEET MDS has to pay a non-refundable registration fee for the submission of choices and Refundable: During the registration process a candidate is also required to pay a part of the tuition fee. This will be refunded to the candidate if he/ she is not allocated a seat in the counselling process. Candidates do have to pay both fees during registration for NEET MDS counselling.

Q:   Will I be eligible to participate in the NEET MDS counselling if I do not qualify for the exam?
A: 

No, candidates have to qualify NEET MDS 2025 to become eligible for NEET MDS 2025 counselling.  It is also to be noted candidates have to qualify NEET MDS exam with the minimum cut off which vary for each category. The minimum cut off percentile for general category candidates is 50 while for SC/ST, the cut off is 40th. Elligible candidates have to register on the official website, mcc.nic.in to participate in the counselling for NEET MDS 2025. Registration is followed by choice declaration. Candidates can declare as many choices as they want to in order of their prefrences.
