Foreign Medical Graduate Examination 2025 ( FMGE )
FMGE 2025 syllabus is released in the official notification by NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences). NBEMS releases the FMGE syllabus in the official FMGE information brochure by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Aspirants of FMGE 2025 are advised to go through the syllabus at least once during the preparation phase. FMGE syllabus 2025 comprised all the topics that are covered during the undergraduate medical degree course. The FMGE 2025 exam for the June session will be conducted in online mode at the designated test centres across India. Along with knowing the syllabus, applicants must also be aware of the FMGE 2025 exam pattern which will help them to compose their strategy for qualifying for the exam in a better way.

No. The FMGE 2025 exam pattern clearly states that the question paper will only have multiple choice/objective types questions. There will be 300 questions for which 5 hours will be allotted to the candidates. Each question will have a weightage of 1 mark. There will be NO negative marking in the exam.
No, the FMGE exam is conducted only in English medium. A candidate cannot appear for the FMGE 2025 exam in any other regional language. Unlike other competitive exams, there is no other medium of language introduced on this entrance exam.

Commonly asked questions
Overall there will be 100 questions asked in the exam from Pre and Para Clinical Subject. Out of these 100 questions around 17 questions will be based on Anatomy section. Along with it, the same 17 questions will be asked from Physiology and Biochemistry sections as well.
Students are advised to attempt all the questions which are asked in the exam as it does not have negative marking scheme.
There will be a total of 100 questions from Pre & Para Clinical section in the FMGE exam. There will be 17 questions each for Biochemistry, Physiology and Anatomy section. Along with this, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Pathology each have 13 questions. At last the Forensic Medicine section has 10 questions.
There will be a total of 200 questions asked in the FMGE exam from the Clinical subject. Out of these 200 questions around 30 questions will be asked in the exam from Obstetrics & Genecology. Though the final number of questions can be changed in the exam.
