NBE will conduct the FMGE exam for the December session on January 17, 2027, as per last year's trends. The exam is conducted to provide a license to practice in India. It is an important exam for Indian and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have completed their medical degrees from foreign institutions and want to practice medicine in India. The students who have completed their medical degrees from outside India need to clear the FMGE Exam. This exam is conducted in two shifts, one in the morning from 9 to 11:30 am and the other in the afternoon from 2 to 4:30 pm.

1. Report on Time at the FMGE Exam Centre
It is advised to the students to reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam starts. They can check the reporting time on the admit card. The entry gates will be closed 30 minutes prior to when the exam starts. No students will be allowed inside after this time.
2. Carry Admit Card, Required Documents
Students should carry these documents -
A printed copy of the FMGE Admit Card with a recent passport-size photograph. It should be the same as uploaded in the application form.
A valid photo ID proof such as:
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Driving License
- Voter ID
3. Biometric Verification and Security Checks
There is biometric verification conducted at the exam centre where the fingerprint and photograph are verified to maintain transparency. This process is mandatory. Students will also go through security checks where they will be asked to remove the accessories such as rings, watches, shoes, and belts during the frisking process.

4. Permissible Items Inside the FMGE 2026 Exam Hall
NBEMS has specified a strict list of items that candidates are allowed to carry inside the examination hall:
- Admit card and ID proof
- Transparent water bottle (if allowed)
- Face mask and small bottle of personal hand sanitiser
- Electronic devices are not allowed at the exam centre such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, or any other gadgets.
After the conclusion of the exam, authorities will release the FMGE results within one month.

Students who are giving the FMGE 2026 exam must follow all exam rules. Students must carry a printed admit card, a valid photo ID like an Aadhaar card or passport, and one passport-size photo. Students should reach the exam centre early to complete checking on time. Do not bring mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, or Bluetooth devices.
