FMGE result 2023 for the December session was declared on February 6, 2024. NBE has published the FMGE result online at the official website, natboard.edu.in. The FMGE 2023 result for the December session is published in the form of a downlodable PDF which can be accessed using the direct link provided below. Candidates can also access the FMGE 2023 merit list by following the steps mentioned below. As per the official notification, the FMGE scorecards were available from February 13, 2024

FMGE 2023 December session exam was held on January 20, 2024. The exam was conducted in computer-based mode. Only qualified candidates will be able to download the scorecard for FMGE 2023 from the official website. 'Results of the candidates whose face ID is under verification, court matters and the candidates whose security clearances are awaited have been kept withheld,' said official notification. The result PDF for the FMGE 2023 December session will comprise details such as roll number, score out of 300, and qualifying status. Those who score 50% marks, 150 out of 300 are declared qualified in the exam.

As per the data, a total of 21,180 candidates failed and 2,474 candidates passed the June session exam. A total of 24,250 candidates had registered for the FMGE 2023 June session. NBE withheld the results of 116 candidates. The passing percentage for the FMGE 2023 June session was around 10.20. 

NBE will issue a pass certificate to qualified candidates. The pass certificates can be collected from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) office at PSP Area, Sector-09, Dwarka, New Delhi. Candidates have to carry the original documents to collect certificates for FMGE 2023. It must be noted pass certificates are handed over to candidates only. They will have to be present in person on said date and time for FMGE 2023 pass certificates. Candidates will have to carry the printout of the entry slip to enter the office of NBE.

Q:   When will NBE declare FMGE 2023 result for the December session?

A:

NBE will declare FMGE 2023 December session result once the exam concludes. As per the schedule announced by NBEMS, the result has been released on February 6, 2024. The FMGE scorecard will be available for download from the official website, natboard.edu.in on or after February 13, 2024.  

 

Q:   Can I send someone else on my behalf to collect my FMGE Pass Certificate?

A:

No, it is mandatory for the candidate to be present when the Pass Certificate is being issued. In the absence of the candidate, the authorities will not issue the Certificate.

 

Q:   Will FMGE pass certificate be issued online or offline?

A:

FMGE pass certificate will be issued Offline. Those who qualified FMGE 2023 December session will have to be in-person at the office of NBE to collect the certificate. 

 

Q:   My FMGE result has been withheld. What does that mean?

A:

If FMGE result has been withheld it means that the authorities hold back the results of the candidates with incomplete documentation. Once the deficit documents are submitted by the candidate, his/ her result is released.

Yes, you can download the FMGE scorecard even if you did not clear the examination. This will help you analyse the areas where you lost marks.

A:

To qualify for FMGE 2023 December session, a candidate will have to score 150 or more marks in the examination.

 

Q:   If I do not qualify as per the FMGE 2023 result, can I retake the examination?

A:

Yes, you can appear for the next session of FMGE. There is no capping on the number of attempts.

FMGE 2023 passing percentage is 50% marks. A candidate needs to secure at least 50% marks in the FMGE 2023 result. Therefore, to qualify in this examination, a candidate needs to score 150 or above marks. Candidates must also note that there is no concession for candidates belonging to the reserved/ PWD category. The scorecard can be downloaded after providing details such as login ID and password.

FMGE 2023 Result: More About the Pass Certificate

All the candidates who qualify for the examination will be issued an FMGE 2023 Pass Certificate. Candidates are required to report to the below venue on the designated date and time to collect this certificate.

List of documents that a candidate needs to carry for issuance of Pass Certificate

  • FMGE 2023 admit card (December session only): The admit card should have a coloured passport-sized photograph affixed in the space provided. 
  • Eligibility Certificate (Original copy issued by the MCI): Candidates who have passed the primary medical qualification during the years when the Eligibility Certificate was exempted need to submit proof of admission to the MBBS course.
  • MBBS degree/ certificate: Candidates must carry the Certificate of Primary Medical Qualification which is duly attested by the appropriate authority/attested by the Embassy of India in the country concerned. They must note that NBE will issue the Pass Certificate only on presentation of the Degree Certificate in original.
  • Passport (Original)
    • Indian Citizens (including NRI): Passport issued by the Government of India
    • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI): OCI Card issued by the Government of India along with the Passport issued by the country of their citizenship
    • Citizens of Nepal: Passport issued by the Government of Nepal (if they have obtained Primary Medical Qualification outside Nepal)
    • ID proof (Voter ID/ PAN card/ Driving Licence/ Aadhaar Card)

Q:   How can candidate download entry slip to collect FMGE pass certificate?

A:

The entry slip can be downloaded from the official website and providing details such as roll number and date of birth.

 

Q:   Is it necessary to pass individually in each section to qualify FMGE 2024 exam?

A:

No. It is nowhere stated in the FMGE 2024 exam pattern guidelines that a candidates needs to qualify in both the sections to be eligible to clear the exam. 

 

Q:   How many marks are required to qualify FMGE licensing exam?

A:

The qualifying marks according to the FMGE exam pattern are 50% or more. Candidates need to score 150 marks or more to qualify FMGE 2024 exam. FMGE exam will be conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

FMGE 2023 Result: What Next?

After the announcement of the FMGE result, here are somethings to keep in mind: 

  • NBE will share the result of FMGE 2023 with the Medical Council of India and the State Medical Councils
  • Candidates who clear the examination can apply to the ‘Secretary, Medical Council of India, Delhi’ or any other State Medical Council
  • Such candidates also have to pay the requisite registration fee
  • If a candidate has completed one year of compulsory rotatory internship, he/ she will be issued a permanent registration
  • If a candidate is in the process of completing the internship, he/ she will be issued a provisional registration

FMGE Result 2023: Statistics

The statistics for the FMGE 2023 December session will be updated when the examination is conducted. Candidates can refer to the data of the previous years to know more about the trends of FMGE result.

The total number of test-takers for the December session of FMGE 2022 were 30, 548. Out of this, 9,840 candidates passed the exam. In June session, 22,092 candidates had appeared and 2,346 candidates qualified for the exam. The trend for the past three sessions of FMGE is illustrated below.
