NEET UG 2026 Notification & Information Bulletin Released by NTA

The last date to apply for the NEET UG 2026 exam has been extended to March 11, 2026. The NTA makes the NEET application form 2026 available for around 33 days.

The minimum age limit to apply online for NEET exam is 17 years. However, there is no upper age limit in the exam. Candidates must be of 17 years as on or before December 31, 2026 to be eligible for NEET. Check here NEET age limit 2026 for OBC, SC, ST, General. 

The NTA released the NEET UG 2026 notification on February 8, 2026. The notification has been released with the information bulletin containing the exam dates and details. Students need to go through the notification before filling out the NEET UG form 2026.

There will be NEET exam in 2026. The NEET UG exam will be held on May 3. The NTA has announced the dates and schedule for the exam. 

Students can enroll for the NEET UG 2026 exam by filling out the application form. The NTA NEET form has been released along with the notification. Eligible students need to register for the exam and submit their applications. The NEET application fee needs to paid online with the form.

The purpose of the NEET exam is to verify the eligibility of students for admissions to MBBS, BDS, BSc and other undergraduate courses in government and private medical colleges/ institutes. It is a pre-medical entrance exam for students who want to take admissions to over 66,000 MBBS and BDS seats in colleges or institutes across India. The NEET UG exam is also conducted for admission to Ayush courses in medical institutions and BSc Nursing in Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals.

Students cannot do Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) without qualifying the NEET UG exam. Clearing the NEET exam is the minimum eligibility requirement to pursue the MBBS course in India.

The NEET syllabus 2026 has been released by the NTA and NMC for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Here is the syllabus for NEET UG 2026 exam below-

The NEET 2026 exam pattern has been released. The NTA mentioned the pattern in the information bulletin. There is no change in the NEET pattern. The NTA changed the NEET question paper pattern in 2025. The NTA removed the optional questions and the exam duration was reduced by 20 minutes.

NTA releases the NEET advance intimation to exam city slip around 10 days before the exam. The document needs to be downloaded online by logging in to the exam website with the registration details. The advance intimation to exam city slip carries the name of the city where candidates' NEET exam centre will be located. The actual exam centre address will be provided on the NEET admit card. 

The NTA released the NEET 2026 information brochure with the application form on the exam website on February 8, 2026. It contains the NEET exam details such as dates, eligibility, application form, exam pattern, syllabus, exam centre and counselling process.

Candidates need to obtain the NEET exam pass marks to clear the exam. The minimum NEET cutoff percentile that candidates must obtain is shared below-

The duration of NEET exam is three hours. The exam timing is 2 PM to 5 PM. Test takers needed to report to the exam centre latest by 1 PM. They could not leave the exam hall before 5 PM. 

If your Aadhaar card is not linked to your mobile number and you are facing problems while filling out the NEET application form, then you should link your Aadhaar to your mobile number first.

You can only do it via a Aadhaar enrollment center and it is not possible to link it from online portal of UIDAI. Once your Aadhar is linked to your mobile number, you can complete your NEET application form. It is very important to ensure that you have filled out all details are accurately to avoid any issues during the application process.

NEET exam can be a little tough for average students, given the competition and difficulty level. However, average students can crack the NEET UG exam with disciplined and consistent efforts. The NEET 2026 registration process started on February 8, 2026. The last date to complete the registration process is March 11, 2026. Registration is the first step of application wherein candidates have to enter the basic details, validate the OTP and create password. In the NEET application process, candidates have to login with their credentials and then fill up the form, upload documents and pay the application fee of NEET 2026.

The NEET UG 2026 admit card has not been released yet. The NTA will release NEET admit card or hall ticket around April 29, 2026, that is, four days before the exam.
