AEEE is usually rated moderate as compared to exams like JEE and BITSAT. However, the candidates must have class 11 and class 12 concepts clear as the questions in the exam come from class 11 and 12 syllabus. Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is the computer-based entrance test held for 10+2 passed candidates for admission in BTech courses offered by Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham. Candidates must prepare well to crack the entrance exam.

The AEEE 2026 application form for phase 1 and phase 2 is out. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form, and more than one application, i.e. multiple applications from a candidate, may get rejected. Candidates' names and their parents' names in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in the Class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examination. Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Fr/Dr/Mrs/Smt/Col etc. should not be used.  The candidates are advised not to send the hard copy of the online application to the university. However, the candidates are advised to retain a hard copy of the application, i.e. acknowledgement page, for future reference or correspondence.

The AEEE 2026 application forms have been released on the official website, aeee.amrita.edu. The last date to apply for phase 1 exams is January 15. Candidates who will register for Phase 1 exams and wish to appear for Phase 2 exams too will not need to register again for Phase 2 again. However, such candidates have to pay INR 600 to appear for phase 2 exams.

Admission to BTech Programmes offered at Amrita School of Engineering is through and based on the rank scored in JEE Main and AEEE. 70% of the seats are allotted via AEEE scores and the rest of the 30% of seats are filled based on JEE Main ranks. A candidate can choose to apply either through AEEE or JEE Mains individually or even select both.

Candidates must be a pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination from a recognised board. Thy must have scored minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. AEEE Admission Process is as follows:
1- Register for Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam : To begin with, aspirants need to register for Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam offline and online. The application fee of Rs. 1200 can be paid via net banking, debit card or credit card.
2- Slot booking: Candidates have to make the Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam slot booking to appear in the entrance exam. AEEE Admit cards can be downloaded after booking the slot.
3- Download Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam, Admit Card: Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website. To download the same, candidates will need their AEEE application number and date of birth.
4- Appear for the Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam : Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted online mode. Candidates are advised to reach the AEEE exam center at least an hour before the commencement of the AEEE exam.
5- Check Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam result: Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam result will be declared on the official website on a new date. The AEEE result will have a student's merit position, score card with total marks, and marks obtained in each subject.

Yes, the candidate who will be appearing for 10+2 exam in 2025 can apply for AEEE 2025. The candidates must ensure that they have their 10+2 marks with them by the counselling process. Also, candidates must have minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and not less than 55% in each of these three subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

No. The syllabus of AEEE is not same as JEE. Candidates must note that AEEE and JEE Mains are two different exam meant for different purposes. AEEE is conducted for admission to B.Tech courses in campuses of Amrita University while JEE Mains is conducted for admission to NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs.

Slots once confirmed cannot be changed in AEEE. The candidates must crosscheck the exam date and time before final submission. Candidates have to log in on the official website. After logging in, the candidates can select the test date and test slots based on availability. To choose the date, click on the available date and click the continue button. In the next screen, candidates will be prompted to select a test slot based on its availability status. Click the “Confirm Slot” button to confirm the booking. A slot once booked cannot be changed under any circumstances. Requests for change of test centres also will not be entertained. Booking the slot for AEEE is of vital importance since many a times it's on the basis of first come first served basis. You can attempt using different browser like internet explorer or Chrome or Mozilla. If the problem persists then do contact system administrator or the helpline or the grievance redressal telephone number. 

There are no intructions regarding the type of print out needed at the exam hall of AEEE. Thus candidates can carry wither black and white or a coloured one. But, candidates must check the instructions on the admit card before printing it out. If the instructions mentions the type of print out needed then follow the same. Make sure the print is clear and all details are readable.

In case of errors in the details of AEEE admit card, candidates have to contact the AEEE authorities. To contact the authorities, candidates have to open a ticket in the online query management system for a faster resolution.  Note that, AEEE admit card to write the examination is generated only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their application form complete in all respects. AEEE 2026 result for phase 1 will be out in February 2026, tenatively. AEEE 2026 phase 1 and phase 2 results will be declared separately on the official website. The AEEE 2026 phase 2 result will be released in May 2026, tentatively. Candidates who appear for more than one phase must note that their best score out of all the phases is considered for admission.

As per note from the campus: Tuition fee waiver ranging from 90% to 25 % is awarded to the students, based on their rank at the time of admission counselling. Scholarship seats are earmarked in each branch in each campus. A total of 300+ candidates are eligible for scholarship at the time of admission and continuation of scholarship in subsequent years would require meeting the minimum required CGPA during subsequent years of study.

Admission to the Mechanical engineering department on the Coimbatore campus is based on the AEEE rank secured by the candidate and also the state from which the candidate hails. A Tamil Nadu candidate has a good chance of getting into Mechanical Engineering if he or she has a 6000 in the AEEE, however, the same is not valid for the other state candidates. No, candidates cannot request for revaluation or rechecking of AEEE result. A fully reliable system is being used for evaluation of answers marked by the candidates in AEEE CBT exam. Hence the scoring is almost perfect and there are less or no chances of mistaked in the evaluation process.  Thus, there is no provision for revaluation or rechecking in AEEE as the evaluation or scoring will be error-free. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
