JNU Results 2025
JNU follows a semester pattern - namely monsoon and winter semesters. It releases the result of each semester soon after the commencement of the respective examinations. Spread across 1,019 acres of land, JNU provides state-of-the-art infrastructure to the students. From the library to e-learning rooms, JNU University Delhi comprises all the basic and modern amenities. Jawaharlal Nehru University has state-of-the-art infrastructure which includes all the necessary amenities. The university includes classrooms, library, medical facility, labs, seminar halls, modern amenities, convocation centre, hostel, mess and others.
JNU has 18 hostels for boys and girls and one complex accommodating married students. The university gives first priority to students admitted in a full-time programmes and have passed their qualifying exam from places outside Delhi. The student must not be a resident of Delhi except those who are admitted to a level at which the student already has a degree or has pursued studies in JNU.
Students who have passed their qualifying examinations from Delhi but have stayed in recognised University/College hostels and are not resident of Delhi are also provided hostel.
Students who have passed their qualifying examinations from Delhi institutions by making their private arrangements for accommodation but at the same time do not have their family residence in Delhi can also opt for hostel.

Yes, candidates seeking admission to the JNU MA course must appear for the CUET-PG entrance exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The students are admitted on merit based on their performance in the entrance test and the deprivation points are added to their score in accordance with the approved admission Policy and Procedures of the University. The CUET PG 2023 exam will be held for postgraduate course admissions to over 50 Central and participating Universities.
There are over 965 seats for MA courses. The seat reservation policy is carried out as per a set of rules. Reservation of seats in various programmes of study for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (Non Creamy Layer (NCL) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category is 15%, 7.5%, 27% and 10%, respectively. As per the provisions of Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Act, 2016, not less than 5% seats are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
Candidates seeking admission to the JNU MA course must have a BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks. Candidates who have passed BSc/ BCom/ BA with Mathematics at Class 12 or at Graduation level with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates also need to appear for the Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) CUET-PG entrance test.
Both the universities are popular for their programmes. However, BHU has an edge as it has got a good ranking under Management category by NIRF. For candidates reference, the NIRF ranking and MBA fees for both the universities is presented in the following table:

JNU cutoff 2025 is out for admission to MA, MSc, MTech and MCA based on CUET- PG. For the General AI category, in the first round, the cutoff ranged from 27.33 and 99.33. MA in Hindi was the toughest for this category, followed by MA in Hindi Translation and MA in Sanskrit. Please note that this data only applies to the General AI category quota, and other categories, rounds and specialisations will reflect different cutoffs. For admission to the MBA course, the candidate should have appeared for the CAT entrance examination. Candidates can apply for the course only with a valid score on this exam. Jawaharlal Nehru University accepts JEE Main scores, followed by the JoSAA counselling process for admission to the BTech courses. JNU BTech cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1 wherein CSE was the most competitive course with a closing rank of 22669 for the General AI category students. For the OBC category, the cutoff was 10003 for CSE and 12811 for ECE programmes.

CAT application process for the current year has already been concluded. The exam has also been conducted. The results and answer key are expected to be released at the iimcat.ac.in website. The CAT 2026 registration dates are not announced yet.

JNU Delhi does not accept the Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) for admission to the BTech courses. To be eligible for JNU BTech admission, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score. The final selection is based on JoSAA counselling process. The JoSAA counselling is usually held in the month of September. This year, there will be six rounds of seat allotment.
MA graduates can make a career in industries such as banking, hospitality, railways, or public sector companies depending upon the chosen specialisation. The average salary given to MA pass-outs ranges from INR 3 to INR 6 LPA.
