For JNU BSc course admission, the course aspirant should have passed Class 12 or any equivalent examination with a minimum 45% aggregate from a recognised board. Candidate should have passed the qualifying exam from a recognised board. It is also necessary that the student carry the educational document at the time of form filling and admission. Jawaharlal Nehru University accepts CUET-UG and CUET-PG entrance test scores for admission to several undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate and PG Diploma courses. The University also accepts a few national-level entrance exam scores for admission to courses such as BTech, MBA, etc. For admission to BA (Hons.) in Foreign Languages, BSc-MSc Integrated programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiency courses, JNU accepts CUET-UG scores.

Jawaharlal Nehru University eleigibility criteria varies as per each programme. Students must qualify Class 10+2 from the recognised board with 45% marks for general category for UG programmes. For PG programmes students must qualify Bachelors degree with 45%- 50% marks from the recognised university. While some of the programmes accepts national entrance exams for admission.
