IISc Bangalore Admission and Application Process 2026
Indian Institute of Science Admission process is via online mode only. The admission to the UG, PG or PhD level courses at the university is based on merit as well as entrance exams.
- The BSc (Research) course requires the candidate to pass Class 12 from science stream with minimum 60% marks (relaxation to just pass for reserved categories) by a recognized board. The admission also requires valid scores in JEE Advanced or IISER Aptitude Test 2026.
- The students interested in BTech course should score valid scores in JEE Advance. The students are required to pass Class 12 from Science stream with minimum 60% marks (no minimum limit for reserved students) by a recognized board. Admissions to the BTech courses are made through JoSAA counselling.
- IISC Bangalore Admission to PG and PG Diploma courses is facilitated through IIT JAM, GATE, COAP, etc. an online Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by an online counselling round for final selection.
