Indian Institute of Management Indore celebrates 28th Foundation Day

Vision for the Future

In his Foundation Day address, Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, shared the institute’s vision as it approaches its three-decade mark in 2026. “Our legacy is built on values of excellence, integrity, and service. As we look ahead, we strive to expand the boundaries of knowledge, nurture responsible leaders, and make a meaningful impact on society,” said Prof. Rai. He noted the significant achievements of the past year, including a rise in global rankings and the expansion of IIM Indore’s international collaborations.

“Our progress is not just reflected in numbers but in the spirit of learning and resilience that defines us,” he emphasized, encouraging the community to embrace collaboration and aim higher.

Recognizing Excellence

A highlight of the event was the presentation of awards recognizing outstanding contributions from faculty and staff. The prestigious Best Teacher Award was bestowed upon Prof. Rajhans Mishra for his dedication and inspiring teaching. Additionally, faculty members who ranked in the top 5% based on student feedback were acknowledged, including:

This year, 20 employees received 10 Years of Service Awards, while seven employees were recognized for 25 years of service.

Setting New Benchmarks

With a solid foundation laid over the past 28 years, IIM Indore aims to set new benchmarks in management education and societal impact. The institute has been ranked 2nd among Indian B-Schools in the Eduniversal 4 Palmes Rankings and made significant strides in global rankings, including 61st globally in the Financial Times Executive Education (Open) category.

Commitment to Responsible Management

IIM Indore's commitment to responsible management education is underscored by its achievement of Level 5 status in the UN PRME Positive Impact Rating 2024, showcasing its international standing and societal impact.

The 28th Foundation Day not only celebrated the institute’s rich legacy but also reaffirmed IIM Indore’s resolve to scale new heights and build a future aligned with its core mission of nurturing socially conscious and ethically grounded leaders.
