UPES, University of Waterloo partner to launch Transformative Online Executive Education Programs

The MoU outlines a series of collaborative efforts between UPES and the University of Waterloo, focusing on creating flexible, high-quality online courses designed for working professionals in India.

UPES has partnered strategically with the University of Waterloo, Canada. The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at transforming executive education in India by introducing WatSPEED, the University of Waterloo’s professional learning initiative, to the Indian market.

A Collaborative Approach to Upskilling and Reskilling

The MoU outlines a series of collaborative efforts between UPES and the University of Waterloo, focusing on creating flexible, high-quality online courses designed for working professionals in India. The integration of WatSPEED’s renowned courses with UPES’ academic expertise and extensive student outreach is expected to provide innovative learning solutions that are accessible and aligned with the needs of the global economy. This partnership aims to empower professionals to upskill and reskill, making them competitive in an increasingly dynamic job market.

International Credit Transfer and Master's Progression Pathways

A key aspect of the collaboration involves the creation of international credit transfer pathways. This initiative will allow UPES students to transfer credits from their programs to equivalent courses at the University of Waterloo, ensuring the alignment of academic standards between the two institutions. This process aims to provide a seamless transition for students who wish to pursue advanced studies at a prestigious international institution.

Moreover, the partnership will facilitate Master’s progression pathways, allowing UPES students to progress into specific on-campus programs at the University of Waterloo, subject to meeting admission requirements. This opportunity will provide UPES students with access to world-class education and cutting-edge research facilities, boosting their global competitiveness.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr Sunil Rai, President of UPES, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration.
