State Bank of India (SBI) has conducted SBI Clerk 2020 prelims exam on February 22, 29, March 1 & 8. Lakhs of candidates appeared in the most sought after banking exams in the country. The exam is conducted to fill more than 8000 vacancies to the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales). According to reports, SBI Clerk result will be declared by late March. Candidates who will successfully qualify the exam will be called for the mains exam.

How to download SBI Clerk Prelims Result 2020?

The steps to check the result of SBI Clerk are given below:

  • Visit the official website of SBI
  • Go to the current opening section from join SBI tab
  • Click ‘Recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales)’ tab
  • From the drop-down, select the result link
  • SBI Clerk result will be available in PDF format
  • Check your roll numbers
  • Download the result and take its printout

SBI Clerk 2020 Scorecard

The scorecard is released a few days after the declaration of result. Candidates can download the result by logging with roll number or registration number and date of birth. The scorecard will contain the following details:

Know how the scores are calculated & Normalisation

The prelims score will be calculated as per the marking scheme prescribed by the examination authority.

  • For the correct answer, candidates will score one mark
  • There is also a penalty for wrong answers
  • ¼ marks assigned to a question will be deducted as penalty
  • Therefore, the scores of candidates will be calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers to arrive at the corrected scores
  • The corrected scores thus obtained are equated using the equi-percentile method
  • Normalisation of marks will be done because the exam is conducted in multiple sessions and in different days
  • This process is followed to adjust the difficulty level of question papers across various sessions

What after the declaration of SBI Clerk Result 2020?

Candidates who will clear the prelims exam by securing the category-wise and state-wise cut off marks will be called for the mains exam. Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the mains exam. Approximately 80,000 candidates will be selected as the number of vacancies are more than 8000.

Candidates who are in their final year/semester of graduation can apply provisionally as per SBI Clerk qualification. They need to produce proof of having passed the examination on or before the joining date.
