The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted IBPS RRB PO 2020 exam successfully on September 12 and 13. The exam held on both the days was overall easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. Check here IBPS RRB PO 2020 paper analysis of all shifts.
Amid COVID-19 pandemic, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has successfully conducted IBPS RRB PO 2020 exam on September 12 and 13. Despite the pandemic situation, a large number of candidates had turned up for the exam on both days. To avoid crowding outside the examination centres, IBPS had divided the examination into five shifts.
Adequate precautions were taken at the exam centres due to COVID-19. The security guards ensured that social distancing was maintained between candidates. This year, the question papers and answer options were available in regional languages. For example: If a candidate had applied for the exam from Puducherry, the question paper and answer options were available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. On the other hand, if a candidate had applied from Telangana, the question paper and answer options appeared in English, Hindi, Telugu and Urdu.
IBPS RRB PO 2020 paper analysis is provided here for all shifts of September 12 and 13. The question paper for all the shifts held on both days was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. In some shifts, there were no questions on Syllogism and Alphanumeric series. Going through the exam analysis, candidates can assess their performance in the exam. IBPS RRB PO 2020 Exam Pattern
The prelims exam of IBPS RRB Clerk comprised two sections: Reasoning Ability and Numerical Ability. The test paper carried a total of 80 marks and the duration of the exam was 45 minutes. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature and marks are not counted for the final merit list. The structure of the IBPS RRB exam pattern is given below.

IBPS RRB PO Paper Analysis for Shift 5
The level of the fifth shift was moderate in terms of the difficulty level. In Reasoning, mostly questions were asked from Puzzles and Seating arrangement. The Quantitative Aptitude section was a bit lengthy. There were three sets of Data Interpretation and 15 questions on Arithmetic Word Problem.

IBPS RRB PO Paper Analysis for Shift 4
The level of the fourth shift was also easy to moderate. An attempt of 53 to 58 questions can be considered as good. There were no questions from Coding & Decoding, Direction, Inequality sections. Puzzles asked in the Reasoning section were Box Puzzles and Floor Puzzles. Circular and Linear Seating Arrangement questions were asked. Questions in Quantitative Aptitude related to Data Interpretation were based on Pie Chart, Caselet, and Line Graph.

IBPS RRB PO Exam Analysis for Shift 2
In the second shift, it was noticed that there were no separate questions for the Quadratic Equation. Quantity based Inequality questions were asked. Two DI and one Caselet question were asked whereas in the first shift there were only two sets of DI. The level of the Caselet seen in the second shift was lengthy and a bit difficult.
The reasoning section of the second shift had a set of five questions on Blood Relation and a set of 5 questions on Syllogism. In the first shift, there were no questions of Blood Relation and Syllogism.

IBPS RRB PO 2020 Paper Analysis: Reasoning Ability
The Reasoning Ability section was easy. There were no questions on Syllogism and Alpha-Numeric series asked in the exam. There were a total of six sets of Puzzles and Seating Arrangements. Circular Seating Arrangement was tough as compare to other Puzzles. The Puzzles and Seating Arrangement questions asked in the exam are given below:

IBPS RRB PO 2020: COVID-19 Arrangements
Some of the COVID-19 guidelines followed at the exam centre are given below. The guidelines followed at the exam centres are given below.
- Wearing the mask was compulsory
- Candidates were allowed to carry a personal transparent water bottle
- They were also allowed to carry personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
- The security guards checked whether Aarogya Setu App was installed on the mobile phones or not
- Candidates' registration was done through photo capture
- Rough sheets were kept at the desk of each candidate
- Separate drop-boxes were provided for rough sheets and call letters. Candidates had to drop these items in the designated boxes

IBPS RRB 2020 Expected Cut off
To qualify for the exam, candidates need to secure sectional and overall cut off marks. Experts predict that an attempt of 52-57 questions can be considered as good. The overall expected cutoff for General category is expected to be around 54 to 57 out of 80. The cut off for Reasoning section is expected to be around 14-17 while it will be around 13-14 for Quantitative Aptitude. Read More

There is no facility to recheck IBPS RRB result. The same announced by the examination authority is considered as final. The result is announced online. Candidates can check their results by logging with the required credentials.

IBPS RRB normalisation of marks is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. This is followed to adjust the difficulty level of the questions across various sessions. The result and cut off are decided based on normalisation.
