LIC AAO Eligibility 2023

LIC AAO eligibility criteria are notified in the official notification. LIC AAO eligibility includes the age limit, educational qualification and the special qualification associated with certain posts. LIC AAO exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer. LIC AAO exam is a three-stage exam where the candidates are required to clear all the stages of the exam. LIC AAOs are the specialist and generalist officers who head the department at the regional offices. The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) is the largest insurance service provider in the country. The candidates must read the official LIC AAO notification before filling out the online application. The LIC conduct the AAO exam to recruit candidates for the following posts.

  • AAO Generalist
  • AAO IT
  •  AAO Chartered Accountant
  • AAO Actuarial
  • AAO Rajbhasha

There is no limit on the number of attempts one can make. The only restriction is age must be within the limit specified for the various categories. Age Relaxation for LIC AAO is listed below: 1- For OBC category: 3 years 2- For SC and ST categories: 5 years 3- For Penson with Benchmark Disabilities (General): 10 years 4- For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (SC/ST): 15 years 5- For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (OBC): 13 years 6- For ECO/SSCO (General)5 years 7- For ECO/SSCO (SC/ST): 10 years 8- ECO/SSCO (OBC): 8 years 9- Serving LIC Employees (Permanent): Further 5 years, apart from the above-mentioned relaxation. Post Name Required Educational Qualification 
Assistant Engineer (Civil)  B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE-recognised Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum of three years of working experience in planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure.
Assistant Engineer (Electrical) B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) from an AICTE recognised Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum three years working experience in planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure.
Assistant Engineer (Architect)  B. Arch. from a recognised Indian University/Institution. Candidate should be registered with the Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of three years of experience in designing all types of buildings with allied services. Candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and application of AutoCAD software and/or similar type software
Assistant Engineer (Structural) M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognised Indian University/ Institution. Candidate should be well versed with structural design of high-rise buildings with the foundation system. He/she should be familiar with various standards of BIS pertaining to structural design and Foundation design and must be experienced in the handling of structural engineering software like ETABS, STAAD etc. Candidates applying for the post must possess a minimum of one year of hands on experience in the area.
Assistant Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical - MEP Engineers) B. Tech./ B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical) from an
AICTE recognized Indian Universities/Institutions. Candidate should have a minimum of three years experience in planning and execution of Plumbing / Piping / HVAC systems, Lift & Fire Fighting Systems, and Electrical Sub-station in multi-storied buildings.

AAO (Chartered Accountant)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant.
  • The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
  • Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

For AAO (Actuarial)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st February, 2020.
  • Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.

For AAO (Legal)

Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years of Bar experience is essential

For AAO (Rajbhasha)

 

1. Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi

translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level

OR

2. Post Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level

OR

3. Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

For AAO (IT)

 

Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics)

or

MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution.

AAO (Generalist) Graduation degree from a recognised university

The candidates should note that the educational qualification required for the post should be obtained on or before the notification month. It means that the candidates appearing in the final years of the educational qualification required for the post will not be eligible to appear in the exam.

One candidate can apply for one post only. In the case of multiple applications, all the applications of the candidate will be summarily rejected.

LIC AAO Age Limit

The candidates must confirm to the age limit as mentioned in the official notification. The candidates must refer to the official notification to check whether they comply with the LIC AAO age limit as prescribed in the official notification. The LIC AAO age limit is as follows:

Minimum Age Limit – 21 years (completed)

Maximum Age Limit – 30 years (completed)

This age limit applies to the AE and AAO posts. The age will be counted from the month of notification.

LIC AAO Age Relaxation

The LIC provides the age relaxation to the commission to the candidates belonging to the reserve categories in the following manner:
