CURAJ Counselling Process 2024: Important Points to Remember
Important Instruction: Candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility as per the chosen programme before applying to any programme. The eligibility criteria are displayed on the University website.
1. The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) will provide its online portal for admission after the CUET result declaration. Candidates, who have successfully cleared the Entrance Test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and seek admission in their choice of programme(s), can register at the CURAJ admission portal for counseling (https://curaj.ac.in/acts/admissions-2024-2025).
2. After the last date of registration, a comprehensive merit list for each programme, based on CUET score, will be published on the University website.
3. Keeping in view the participation of a large number of Universities in CUET conducted by NTA, prospective candidates may have numerous choices. In order to ensure the timely completion of the admission process and commencement of the academic session well-in-time, the University will invite proportionately more candidates than available seats for depositing academic fee for all the enlisted programmes.
4. For each programme, the ratio for the call of academic fee deposition will be 1:5 (seat: candidates) under each category. Wherever the total numbers of candidates are approximately 1:5, all candidates will be asked to deposit the academic fee.
5. The information related to depositing the academic fee will be displayed on the University website.
6. The candidate must pay the academic fee within the stipulated time, failing which his/her candidature shall immediately be cancelled. Besides, it is to note that the payment of academic fee does not guarantee admission.
7. The list of candidates, who have deposited academic fee, will be displayed on the University website.
8. The Departmental Admission Committee (DAC) will check the eligibility of candidates who have deposited the fee. The Respective Department may contact the candidate for any clarification related to his/her candidature and may also ask for the re/submission of the required/missing document(s).
9. If the candidate is found ineligible during the document verification stage, his/her candidature will stand cancelled in that programme.
10. From the list of eligible candidates who have deposited academic fee, seats will be offered in order of CUET merit. This list will be displayed on the University's website.
11. The waiting list of the candidates, who have deposited fees but have not been offered admission by then, will also be displayed on the University website.
12. Any candidates not comply with the procedure mentioned above (e.g. not paying the Academic Fee and/or not uploading the documents/undertaking/affidavit, etc.) within the stipulated time frame will result in the cancellation of the admission offer and deletion of the name from the merit list. In such a case, the seat shall be declared vacant and will be offered to the next eligible candidate(s) in the order of merit.
13. Vacancies resulting from cancellation/withdrawal will be filled from the waiting list.
14. The procedure of admission cancellation/refund policy will be updated on the University website.
CURAJ Counselling Process 2024: Tie-Breaking Policy
In case of a tie in CUET score, the following procedure will be followed in order to decide the merit:
1. The candidate, who scored higher marks in the qualifying degree, will be first offered the seat.
2. If there is a further tie in the score with regard to the above mentioned Point-1 (the case of same score in the qualifying degree), the seat will be offered to the candidate, who has scored higher marks in the concerned subject as per the eligibility of the programme.
3. If there is a further tie with regard to both of the above mentioned cases (Point 1 & 2), the seat will be offered to the candidate, who has scored higher marks in the preceding (relevant) degrees.
4. If the tie still continues, the candidate who is older in age will be given preference.
5. In case, the tie continues further with regard to all of the above mentioned cases (Point 1, 2, 3 & 4), the decision of the competent authority will be final and binding.

With 59 marks out of 300 in CUET PG 2026 as a General Category student, securing a seat for MA English in top-tier Central Universities like DU, JNU, or BHU is highly unlikely.
For a General category student, 180+ is considered a "Good Score" for MA English, while below 100 typically limits options
