IIT JAM Chemistry Question Paper Analysis and Difficulty Level

 

IIT Delhi conducted the JAM 2025 Chemistry exam on February 2, 2025, in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for admissions to the MSc and Integrated Phd degree at various participating institutes. The IIT JAM 2025 Chemistry section has been rated as easy to moderate. Some of the topics included Molar Conductivity, electro conductance, solid state, Magnetic Moments, Titration, Bonds, etc. As per some candidates, the MCQ questions were easy and MSQs and NAT questions were tough. The Geology section has questions from topics such as geomorphology, mineralogy, and petrology were moderately difficult.

As IIT Delhi is the examination conducting body this year, the JAM 2025 overall exam difficulty level is on a moderate level. Conceptual questions were asked in the exam where the candidate's analytical and abstract thinking of the applied subject put to test.

IIT JAM 2025 Shift 1 Analysis

IIT JAM 2025 exam shift 1 was found to be moderately easy by maximum candidates who appeared for Mathematics, Chemistry, and Geology subjects. Questions were designed in such a manner to test their analytical and practical approach of the concerned subject. Maximum number of candidates who have appeared in the IIT JAM 2025 exam had their first attempt in the examination. The Chemistry section has been rated as easy to moderate. Some of the topics included Molar Conductivity, Magnetic Moments, Titration, Bonds, etc. As per some candidates, the MCQ questions were tougher than the MSQs and NAT questions. The Geology section has questions from topics such as geomorphology, mineralogy, and petrology were moderately difficult.

A good IIT JAM rank would differ depending on the category, branch and round. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 328 to 507.
