Things to Carry at CUET UG Exam Centre 2026

Candidates appearing for the CUET UG 2026 examination must carry the following important documents and items to the exam centre to have smooth entry and verification:

  • Printed CUET UG Admit Card with Self Declaration (Undertaking): Candidates must bring a clear printout of the admit card downloaded from the official NTA website, printed on A4-size paper, along with the duly filled self-declaration form.
  • Transparent Ball Point Pen: Only a simple transparent ballpoint pen is allowed for exam-related use inside the examination hall.
  • Additional Passport-Size Photograph: Carry one extra photograph (same as uploaded in the CUET application form), which will be pasted on the attendance sheet during the examination.
  • Valid Original Photo ID Proof: Candidates must bring any one original, valid, and non-expired photo identification document, such as:
    • School Identity Card
    • PAN Card
    • Passport
    • Aadhaar Card (with photograph)
    • E-Aadhaar (with photograph)
    • Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph
    • Bank Passbook with a photograph
  • PwD/PwBD Certificate (If Applicable): Candidates claiming relaxation under the PwD/PwBD category must carry a valid certificate issued by an authorised medical officer.
  • Items for Diabetic Candidates: Candidates with diabetes are permitted to carry sugar tablets or fruits such as bananas, apples, or oranges as per exam guidelines.

Q:   How can I check my CUET exam centre?
A: 

Candidates can check the CUET 2026 allotted exam centre upon release of CUET intimation slip and CUET admit card. Only candidates who will fill the CUET application form along with the successful application fee payment will be able to download the intimation slip for CUET exam. The name of exam centre will be mentioned on the intimation alip in advance to help candidates make preparations accordingly. The CUET 2026 admit card is expected to release three to four days prior to the day of examination in online mode. Candidates will be able to check the following details on the release of CUET 2026 admit card:

  1. Name of the candidate
  2. Registration number
  3. Category
  4. Location
  5. Date of exam
  6. Time of exam
  7. Exam centre name & address
  8. Photograph
  9. Signature
  10. Instructions related to the exam 

Candidates must note that the CUET exam centre once allotted, no request for change in exam centre will be entertained under any circumstances. Candidates are advised to carefully enter the exam centre preference while filling the CUET 2026 application form.

Q:   What is CUET UG exam slot and timing?
A: 

CUET 2026 will be held in two slots. The timing for the same is released with release of CUET 2026 admit card. Candidates can know the exam centre and timing along with the release of CUET 2026 admit card. NTA is expceted not to release the official CUET 2026 date sheet. Candidates can check their subject-wise CUET exam date and slot timings on CUET intimation slips and admit card.

Q:   What is the CUET exam duration for each subject?
A: 

As per CUET exam pattern, the subjects are divided into three sections as:

Section I- Languages 

Section II- Domain Subject

Section III- General Test

Candidates will get 60 minutes for each subject. Candidates will not be given extra time.

Q:   How is CUET exam centre allocated?
A: 

CUET exam centre is allocated on the basis of the preferences entered by the candidate while filling the CUET application form. NTA allotes exam centre as per the preference entered and is subject to availability and logistical consideration.

While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select four cities of their choice. Choice of CUET exam centre cities will be limited to the State of permanent address or State of present address only. In case there are very few candidates from a city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.

CUET 2026 exam will be held in May-June 2026 in computer based mode over a month window. The exam will be held across more than 300 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to know the alloted exam centre on issuance of CUET intimation slip or CUET admit card.

Barred Items at CUET UG 2026 Exam Centre

NTA has listed the things that are bared at CUET exam centre. Candidates can check the list of barred items below:

  • Any item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
  • Any electronic device like a mobile phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
  • Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap, etc.
  • Any Watch/Wristwatch, Bracelet, Camera, etc. v) Any ornaments/metallic items.
  • Any food items opened or packed, water bottles, etc.
  • Any other item that could be used for unfair means, communication devices like a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, etc.

CUET UG 2026 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates appearing for CUET UG 2026 exam must follow the exam day guidelines below, as prescribed by

  • Report to the CUET UG exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam commencement time.
  • Carry a printed admit card and valid original photo ID for entry into the examination hall.
  • Late arrival because of traffic travel delays will not be the responsibility of NTA.
  • Sit only on the seat allotted as per your roll number; changing seats may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Check that the question paper/subject displayed on the computer matches your selected subject and inform the invigilator immediately if there is any mismatch.
  • Contact the invigilator or centre superintendent for technical issues, emergencies, or assistance during the exam.
  • Providing false information in the application form will lead to cancellation of candidature and result.
  • No re-test will be conducted if a candidate misses the exam for any reason.
  • Ensure all personal details filled in the application form are correct; no corrections are allowed later.
  • Do not carry prohibited items such as mobile phones, calculators, bags, study material, electronic gadgets, or eatables inside the exam hall.
  • Bring mandatory documents: admit card with self-declaration, passport-size photograph, valid photo ID, and PwD/PwBD certificate (if applicable).
  • Use only the rough sheets provided at the centre and submit them to the invigilator after the exam.
  • Preserve copies of the confirmation page, admit card, and scorecard for admission purposes.
  • Candidates must appear at the assigned exam centre, date, and shift mentioned on the admit card; changes are not allowed.
