The maximum marks in CUET UG exam for each subject is 250 marks. The CUET total marks may vary depending upon the number of subjects opted by candidate.

NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2026:

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
• Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
• If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
• If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

CUET 2026 provisional answer keys will be released on the official website: cuet.nta.nic.in. The provisional answer key is available on NTA and the CUET UG official website, which candidates can directly download, without having to log in. The final answer keys of CUET UG 2026 will be released before the declaration of results. Candidates will be able to download download the answer key PDF for online examinations.

Candidates can calculate the CUET 2026 probable score soon after the release of CUET provisional answer key. NTA will issue the CUET provisional answer key 2026 and response sheet soon after the exam concludes. Following the marking scheme, candidates can calculate their probable scores.

Final scores will be calculated based on CUET 2026 final answer key.

CUET UG 2026 answer key will be released in third week of June 2026. Candidates who will appear for the exam can download the CUET provisional answer key along with the response sheet after the release. NTA will also release the CUET UG 2026 final answer key before the declaration of final results. It is expected that CUET 2026 final answer key will be released in last week of June 2026.

No, candidates can raise objections after the CUET result has been declared. NTA calculates the final CUET score based on final answer key. CUET revised answer key is released after evaluating the objections raised by the candidates after the released of provisional answer key.

Yes, there is negative marking in CUET UG exam. For every wrong answer, the question will attract negative one mark. Candidates must be careful while answering the questions to avoid any negative marking.

National Testing Agency will release the CUET 2026 final answer key before the announcement of results. NTA releases the revised CUET answer key based on the objections received at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates are given opportunity to challenge the CUET UG answer key 2026 within a three-day window. The date to challenge the answer key will be notified. Only paid challenges made during the stipulated period will be considered. CUET answer key challenges without justification/evidence, and those filed on any other medium other than the prescribed link for CUET UG will not be considered. CUET UG 2026 results will be compiled based on the final answer key. Candidates will not get the outcome of the challenges received. 

The last date to challenge the CUET UG 2025 answer key will be updated. CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted between May 08 to June 01, 2025. NTA is expected to release the CUET provisional answer key 2025 in first week of July 2025. Candidates can check their response sheet and official answer key. The CUET 2025 answer key challenge window will open soon after the release of provisional answer key.

National testing Agency (NTA) releases the provisional CUET answer key soon after the exam is conducted. In the CUET UG provisional answer key candidates can check the correct options for each question and their markes responses. On release of the CUET UG provisional answer key, candidates are given the opportunity to challenge the answer key before the declaration of results. CUET 2026 final answer key will be released by NTA at cuet.nta.nic.in in first week of July 2026. Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to download the CUET 2026 official answer key along with the individual response sheet. Candidates are also be given the opprtunity to challenge the CUET answer key 2026 provisional when released. To download the provisional CUET answer key candidate's CUET 2026 response sheet will be required to enter the login credentials. NTA will release the CUET 2026 final answer key before the declaration of results.
