There is no limit to the number of password reset attempts candidate can make for CUET login. If applicant has forgotten their password and need to reset it, they can follow instructions provided on the CUET website to reset password.

Yes, it is important for students to align the CUET UG subjects with the subjects studied in class 12th. Top central universities like Delhi University, does not accept CUET subject scores which have not been studied by student in class 12th. While selecting CUET subjects candidates must make sure that CUET subjects must closely or completely align with the subjects studied in class 12th. Failing which, candidate will be disqualified for admission despite a good score.

To pursue B.A (Hons.) in Foreign Language (Russian, Spanish, German, Arabic, French), students must select below CUET subjects:

From CUET UG 2026 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th. 

CUET exam centre is allocated on the basis of the preferences entered by the candidate while filling the CUET application form. NTA allotes exam centre as per the preference entered and is subject to availability and logistical consideration.

While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select four cities of their choice. Choice of CUET exam centre cities will be limited to the State of permanent address or State of present address only. In case there are very few candidates from a city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.

CUET 2026 exam will be held in May-June 2026 in computer based mode over a month window. The exam will be held across more than 300 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to know the alloted exam centre on issuance of CUET intimation slip or CUET admit card.

Candidates must reach alloted CUET exam centre two hours before mentioned exam time. Candidates must complete verification process and take their seats immediately after the opening of examination hall. If the candidates does not report at alloted CUET exam centre on time due to traffic, delay in transport, important instructions to appear for the exam can be missed.

NTA will release CUET 2026 city intimation slip online. Candidates who will complete the CUET application process by paying the requisite fee can log in with their username and password and download the slip to check the city where their CUET UG 2026 exam centre will be located.

CUET intimation slip mentions the date of examination, shift, subject/test papers and medium chosen by the candidate while filling the application form. City intimation slips are released subsequently for the exams scheduled on different dates. CUET city intimation slip is not an admit card. It is an advanced information about the allotment of city. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG is conducted Assamese, Bengali,  English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi,  Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu languages. As per CUET exam pattern, the subjects are divided into three sections as:

Candidates will get 60 minutes for each subject. Candidates will not be given extra time.

The CUET questions are objective in nature and carries four options also known as MCQs. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in a CBT mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, students will get +5 marks and in case of wrong answer, negative marking scheme will be applied. Hence, candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer. 

CUET UG question paper for each subject will consist of 50 questions. Candidates will be required to attempt all questions and no optional questions will be provided. In CUET UG 2026 there are 37 subjects- 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and general tests. While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select upto five CUET subjects aligning with the subjects studied in class 12th and course requirement.

Candidates must attempt all the questions of the subjects selected. However, candidates must keep in mind the negative marking and select the options carefully.

CUET 2026 admit card will be released in second week of May prior to the date of examination. CUET 2026 exam will be scheduled in May/June in CBT mode. Only candidates who will register for the entrance exam will be able to download the CUET admit card. NTA will release the CUET intimation slip for CBT Mode before the CUET admit card. With the help of CUET intimation slip candidates can know the exam centre details in advance to prepare for the arrival at CUET exam centre on time. Candidates will be able to calculate their approximate secured scores using the CUET UG answer key. All candidates will have to compare their CUET responses to the CUET 2026 answer key. Candidates must follow the official CUET UG marking scheme. The calculated total will be the probable scores secured in the exam. However, the scores will be indicative and may differ from the result.

CUET UG cut off will vary from course to course and universities. To know the cut off for CUET UG courses, candidates must stay updated with the notification released by the universities for admissions. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score 2026 will be accepted by more than 205 universities (central, state, private and deemed) across India. On the basis of the CUET UG score, candidates are offered admission to UG programme of the participating colleges. CUET UG scores are not accepted by IITs. Common University Entrance Test for UG is conducted for admission to state, central, private, deemed and government institutions. Admission to UG courses of IITs is offered through other national level entrance examinations.

National Testing Agency (NTA) does not release the CUET UG cutoff. Once the CUET results are declared, the socres are shared with the participating universities and role of NTA ends with the declaration of results. CUET UG 2025 cutoff has been released by the CUET participtaing universities seperatley. Candidates will be able to check the course wise and category wise cutoff. CUET UG cutoff 2026 has been released by accepting universities after declaration of CUET UG results. 

After the declaration of CUET result, the following steps should be taken:

1. Check your result and confirm that you have qualified for the exam.
2. Download your admit card and keep it safe.
3. Start preparing for the counselling process.
4. Apply for the colleges of your choice. 
5. Attend the counselling sessions and choose the college that you want to join.

Yes, you will have to appear for the CUET counselling rounds of the central universities. Admission to central universities is offered based on CUET UG scores. Candidates must note that class 12th marks will not be considered for final admission to UG courses of central universities. Class 12th marks are used for tie-breaking criteria. Candidates must ensure to appear for Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses to qualify for counselling rounds.

If the question is dropped or the answer key is revised, NTA will give score as

• If multiple options are correct then students who marked any correct option will get five marks.

• If all options provided are correct then all students who gave answer will be given five marks.

• If none of the options is correct, a question is wrong, or a question is removed then all students who attempted the removed question will get five marks.

PwD candidates who are visually impaired or have disability in the upper limb or have lost hands/fingers which prevents them from operating the CUET UG computer based test will be able to avail the scribe facility.

Such candidates can take the help of scribe for reading the questions or keying the answers as per the direction of candidate. The scribe will not be allowed to explain or suggest the answer. To avail the service of scribe, PwD candidates must opt for it while filling the CUET 2026 application form.  The scribe will be provided by CUET 2026 conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) only.

If a candidate has made a mistake in CUET UG 2026 application form, he/she can edit the details in online form once the correction window is open.
