CUET colleges 2026 list has been updated on release of official notification. More than 205 Universities in India will offer admission through CUET UG. Accepting universities include 48 central universities, 26 state universities, 7 government institutions, 22 deemed universities and 102 private universities. These universities include Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Central Punjab University (CPU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Jamia Milia Islamia, and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), amongst others. The universities will release the CUET cutoff 2026 or CUET merit list separately. NTA will announce CUET result 2026 tentatively in first week of July at cuet.nta.nic.in. Based on the score obtained, accepting universities will release their cut off list or merit lists. CUET 2026 exam will be scheduled from May 11 to May 31.

How to Select CUET 2026 Colleges

Candidates are not required to enter college preferences while filling the CUET application form 2026. Candidates can apply for desired college/university on official website of respective university. The link to apply for CUET UG 2026 counselling will be active after declaration of results. To fill the CUET counselling form 2026, aspirants must:

  1. Visit the official website of university
  2. Click on samarth portal to apply through CUET UG
  3. Register and complete the online form
  4. Pay the counselling fee

CUET 2026 Colleges Admission Process

The admission process at the CUET participating colleges will take place based on the counselling process. Each college will conduct separate counselling rounds for the qualifying candidates. The admission process is given below:

  • Each participating institute will release its rank list of candidates who are eligible to participate in the CUET counselling 2026.
  • Candidates will have to register online after CUET result declaration and then appear in online counselling followed by offline counselling.
  • Upon seat allotment, candidates will have to pay the admission fee and report to the institutes to accept the admission offer.

Some of the colleges may conduct interview rounds for certain programmes. The number of rounds of counselling will depend on the number of unoccupied seats.

Q:   What is programme specific eligibility criteria in CUET?
A: 

For admission to the desirous University/Institution, the candidates must appear in CUET 2026 in the Languages and Domain Specific subjects as per the Program-Specific Eligibility for which s (he) is desirous to take admission. For instance, if a candidate wishes to apply for B.Com (Hons.) programe in Delhi University he/she will be required to make the subject combination as :

Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy/Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1

Candidates are advised to check CUET programme-specific eligibility criteria before filling the application form, failing which they will not qualify for further admission process.

Yes, you will have to appear for the CUET counselling rounds of the central universities. Admission to central universities is offered based on CUET UG scores. Candidates must note that class 12th marks will not be considered for final admission to UG courses of central universities. Class 12th marks are used for tie-breaking criteria. Harcourt Butler Technical University CUET UG cutoff 2023 was released for admission to the BBA course. The cutoff in the last round was 51 for the BBA course.

Yes, Gurugram University does accept CUET UG and CUET PG for admission to its UG & PG courses respectively. The exam is accepted for selective courses only. Some of the courses for which CUET is accepted are - BBA, BSc, LLB, MSc, MBA, etc.

No, CUET exam is not compulsory to take admission in Christ College of Science and Management. The admissions are done on merit basis. Final selections are based on marks scored in qualifying exam and interview performance.
