- The NEET PG 2025 round 1 counselling process has been postponed for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses until further notice. The new dates are expected to be released shortly.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration window is expected to open in the first week of Mar 2026 for admission to UG courses.
- The NEET MDS 2026 application form is likely to be released in Feb 2026 for admission to MDS and PG Diploma (Dental) courses.

Yes, Aligarh Muslim University admission to most of the courses is based on CUET scores. Admission to AMU undergraduate courses including BSc (Hons.) Community Science, BA (Hons/Research), BVoc in Production Technology, Polymer and Coating Technology and Fashion Design & Garment Technology and BSc (Hons/Research) is completely based on valid Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) scores. From the academic session 2022, all the central universities along with a few state-deemed universities and private universities started accepting CUET scores for admission to their UG and PG courses.
Aligarh Muslim University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. AMU offers BTech across ten specialisations including Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, CSE, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, among others. AMU conducts Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination (AMUEEE) for BTech admission and it is not very tough for candidates already appeared for JEE Mains. Students who have prepared well for the board examination or JEE Mains can easily crack the AMU entrance test for BTech admission.

STEP 1: Registration
Visit AMU's official website to register for counselling. The payment for admission may also be had to be paid on the same portal.
STEP 2: Provisional Admission
After counselling, provisional admission shall be granted to the shortlisted candidates.
STEP 3: Document Verification & Physical Reporting
After selection, candidates have to report physically at the university and submit a list of documents. Candidates must carry original documents.
Aligarh Muslim Univers ity Eligibility & Selection Criteria 2025
At AMU, students can pursue an extensive range of programmes across multiple specialisations. The university provides the programmes in full-time and regular modes. Aligarh Muslim University course admissions are mostly entrance-based. However, it is also important that students fulfil the preset eligibility criteria of the desired course. For AMU BTech admission, candidates must have valid AMUEEE 2025 scores. AMU MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in the AMU-CAT 2025 entrance test, conducted by the University. For undergraduate admission to courses, including BA (Hons), BVoc and BSc (Hons) through CUET-UG, candidates must have a valid CUET-UG score. For BA (Hons) admission, candidates must have to attempt the Domain/ General/ Languages sections of CUET while appearing for the entrance test along with the minimum eligibility criteria set by AMU. Aligarh Muslim University offers a two-year full-time MBA course at the postgraduate level covering several specialisations. AMU MBA admission 2023 is completely entrance-based and depends' on candidates' performance in the CAT national-level entrance test, followed by a GD & PI round. AMU Admission Process 2025
Candidates can apply for admission to their desired courses on the CUET website and CUET taken in the respective subjects shall be eligible for counselling and admission. Some of the courses for which AMU accepts CUET-UG scores are BA (Hons), BVoc, BSc (Hons), etc. For some of the specialisations of the mentioned programmes, CUET may not be applicable. The procedure applicable for admission to AMU courses through CUET is as follows:
- Registration and form submission on the AMU website (cuet.samarth.ac.in)
- CUET exam
- Online application form of AMU (amucontrollerexams.com) by entering the CUET application number
- Release of merit/selection list or intimidated through any other means
- Registration and participation in Counselling (if shortlisted)

The process followed during AMU CUET counselling is:
STEP 1: Registration
Candidates shortlisted or selected can register for counselling. Selected students have to visit AMU's official website (amucontrollerexams.com or counselling.amuonline.ac.in) to register for counselling. The payment for admission may also have to be paid on the same portal. The fee for the same for the respective courses is made available on the official website.
STEP 2: Provisional Admission
After counselling, provisional admission is granted to the selected candidates. Aspirants shall check out the AMU official website for updates regarding the same.
STEP 3: Document Verification & Physical Reporting
After selection, candidates have to submit a list of documents for verification purposes. Candidates must carry original documents.
The documents required at the time of physical reporting for provisional admission completion are:
- Mark sheet of last qualifying examination (with four self-attested photocopies)
- Transfer/migration and character certificate (If the Certificate is not available, an undertaking on the prescribed format is to be submitted within the due date)
- High school certificate or its equivalent in support of the date of birth
- Five (2.5 x 3.0 cms) recent front-facing colour photographs (with white background)
- Documents in support of Special Categories claimed in the application form
- Leave sanction/relieving order from the employer for the entire duration of the course, if employed.
- Name removal certificate from the rolls of the concerned faculty/college/unit (if already enrolled in another full-time course at AMU)
- Two self-addressed envelopes bearing postage stamps worth INR 22 each (to be submitted in the Office of the Provost of Hall of Residence/NRSC allotted).
- Two Undertakings on plain paper – one on your behalf and the other on behalf of your parents/guardian regarding not indulging in ragging
- Latest Certificate of vaccination for Typhoid, Cholera and Hepatitis “B” – (applicable only for BSc Nursing course)

Admission to the AMU MBA is done based on the performance of the candidates in AMU CAT.The competition level is high for Aligarh Muslim University MBA admission and it is also reflected in the entrance exam conducted by AMU for admission to the MBA programme. The entrance exam is a computer-based test consisting of 100 questions (1 mark each), divided into four sections and they are as under:

AMU conducts its own entrance test called Aligarh Muslim University Common Admission Test (AMU-CAT) for admission to the MBA course. The Admission Test shall be held at Aligarh, Kolkata & Kozhikode. Based on the marks secured by the candidates in the AMU-CAT entrance test, a merit list for admission will be drawn. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list released by the University are then required to appear for the Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GD & PI) round.
The Aligarh Muslim University has not yet released the schedule for MBA admission 2024 but based on the last year's schedule the AMU MBA admission process is likely to begin in February.

Aligarh Muslim University offers both BE and BTech courses covering seventeen specialisations at the undergraduate level. For Aligarh Muslim University BTech admission, students are required to pass Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates with a minimum aggregate of 50% in a Diploma in Engineering are also eligible for BTech admission at AMU.

AMU Application Process 2025
Candidates seeking admission at AMU through CUET, need to take part in the counselling after the exam. To apply, aspirants need to visit the AMU official website (amucontrollerexams.com or counselling.amuonline.ac.in) to register for counselling. For courses where admission is through any other mode, aspirants can follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of Aligarh Muslim University.
Step 2: Click on the admissions tab available on the menubar
Step 3: On the redirected page, go to the general admission section and click on the Application form
Step 4: Fill in the application form with all the mandatory details.
Step 5: Upload all the required documents.
Step 6: Pay the application fee and click on the 'submit' button.

AMU Application Process: Documents Required
- A scanned copy of the date of birth certificate/High School Certificate of the candidate.
- Scanned copy of Marks-sheet / grade-sheet of qualifying examination. (If the Marks-sheet/grade sheet of the qualifying examination is not available, the Marks-sheet/grade sheet passed in the preceding year should be uploaded)
- Scanned copies of documents in support of a claim under a special category, if any.
- Scanned copy of valid GATE/ CUET/ NEET Score Card (according to the course selected)
- Scanned copy of documents in support of Professional Experience, if any (applicable only for candidates applying for admission to BE course in the Faculty of Engineering & Technology).
- Scanned copy of the No Objection Certificate from the employer, if employed at present.
Note: It is to be ensured that all documents should be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format only and their size should lie between 200KB to 2MB.
Commonly asked questions On Application Process
AMU CUET Counselling registration process is carried out in online mode. Only the students shortlisted or selected are eligible to register for counselling. Eligible students can visit the AMU official website (amucontrollerexams.com or counselling.amuonline.ac.in) to apply with CUET rank for the desired programme. During registration, a login ID and password is generated for further procedure. The registration fee for the same is made available on the official website.
During AMUEEE registration, candidates will have to pay the fee through net banking/credit card/debit card. The AMUEEE application fee is INR 1000. Offline payments will not be accepted. The late fee is INR 1300.
The Aligarh Muslim University conducts AMU entrance exam to shortlist candidates for admission to various courses. The AMUEE application process is conducted online on the official website if the University. Aspirants need to pay AMU application fee to confirm their application submission.

AMU MBBS cut off 2023 is based on NEET scores and finally on NEET Counselling. NEET 2023 Counselling has been released up to Round 4. The university also offers BDS courses. The counselling for BDS has been concluded after Round 5. AMU Medical cutoff for NEET UG Last Round seat allotment was 8597 for MBBS and 31517 for BDS for the General category candidates belonging to All India Quota. The CUET result 2025 will be declared tentatively in last week of July 2025. All of those candidates who will appear for the exam can download their CUET Scorecard online after its release. The CUET scores are used for admission to various universities/colleges that the candidates had applied for while filling in the application form.
