DTU Registration: Last Date, Fees, Application Process

Students who want admission at DTU for its UG and PG courses have to first register on the DTU registration portal (https://saarthi.dtu.ac.in/admissions2026_27/). At the UG level, BTech and BDes are two popular courses. At the PG level, MBA is a popular choice among applicants.

DTU registration process is one of the most crucial steps in gaining admission to the Engineering or Management streams. Gaining admission at Delhi Technological University involves multiple steps, starting from registration and ending with fee payment. Delhi Technological University, known earlier as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), is a premier institution known for its academic excellence, top-tier faculty and placement record. DTU Registration 

DTU offers admission across different academic levels, and the registration process for each one varies. Delhi Technological University handles admission through different counselling bodies. For admission to the BTech course, the university accepts the JAC Delhi counselling process. To know the admission process for various courses, see the list below: 

  • BTech Admission: Handled entirely by the Joint Admission Committee) JAC Delhi counselling process. Students have to first register for the JEE Main exam, pay the registration fee, and then register for the JAC Delhi counselling process. 
  • MBA Admission: Admission is handled by the CMAC (Common Management Admission Committee) process using the CAT or MAT exam scores.
  • MTech Admission:  Admission is done either through GATE exam results or through DTU's own written test

DTU Registration Fees

The DTU Registration fee for all courses (UG and PG) is INR 1,500/-. This fee is non-refundable. For BTech course admission, students have to first pay the JEE Main registration fee, followed by the JAC Delhi counselling registration fee. For other courses, i.e., BBA, MBA, etc., students have to pay only the registration fee. The DTU BBA registration process

DTU BTech Registration Fees

Students who want admission to the BTech course have to pay the JEE Main registration fee, which is different for male, female and third-gender students. The required fee for other categories,i.e., General, OBC, SC, also varies. Since the exam is conducted in two sessions, i.e., Session 1 and Session 2, students who want to participate in both sessions have to pay the 

For the General male, female and third-gender candidates, the JEE Main fee is INR 1000, INR 800 and INR 500, respectively. 

DTU Registration Process for BTech

UG Engineering programme aspirants can check the table below to know the step-by-step DTU registration process. 

  1. Online Registration
    Go to the JAC Delhi website and click on the 'New Registration' option. Keep your JEE Main application number and password ready. Students have to enter their personal details, contact information and other needed details.
  2. Uploading Documents
    Students have to submit various documents, like:
    1. Class 10 and 12 Marksheets
    2. JEE Main Admit Card and Scorecard
    3. Birth Certificate/ Class 10 Marksheet
    4. Valid Email ID and Mobile Number
    5. Recent Passport-Size Photograph (40 KB max in size)
    6. Scanned Signature (20 KB max in size)
    7. Bank account details
  3. Pay the Registration Fee
    Students have to submit the non-refundable registration fee through the online payment gateway. To know the DTU registration fee for different categories, go through JEE_Main_Registration_Fee_2026. 

DTU Registration Eligibility Criteria

A total of 85% of seats are reserved for Delhi region students, and the remaining 15% of seats are open for students from outside Delhi. For BTech course admission, students need to pass Class 12 with at least 60% aggregate, with PCM and English as the core subjects. 

DTU Registration process for MTech

The University offers 26 MTech programmes in various specialisations, like CSE, Applied Chemistry, Software Engineering, etc. Students interested in any MTech course specialisation need to register and fill the online application form on (www.dtu.ac.in) after paying a fee of INR 1500.
