For the General AI category, the last round cutoff ranged from 16053 to 59346, wherein BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive course for admission. The NIT Silchar JEE Main cutoff 2025 in the first round varied between 11112 and 39914. For the last round, the cutoff ranged from 16053 to 59346. According to both ranges, the most and least preferred BTech branches were BTech CSE and BTech Civil Engineering, with the last round cutoffs of 16053 and 59346, respectively.

For this category, the last round cutoff rank ranged from 22816 to 65903 for several engineering branches. According to this range, the top three most competitive branches for admission were BTech CSE, followed closely by BTech Electronics and Communication Engineering and BTech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, with the cutoffs being 22816, 26214 and 32408, respectively.

NIT Silchar ECE cutoff 2025 for the SC category students belonging to the All India quota was 3089 in the first round, which later increased to 101179 in the last round.  As compared to the OBC AI category, the competition for the aforementioned course in the last round was more lenient here.

For this category, the admissions were closed at a rank of 197721 for the BTech in Civil Engineering course. When compared to all the above-mentioned categories, i.e., General, OBC and SC All India categories, competition was the most lenient here.

For the PWD AI category, the JEE Main counselling cutoff was only released for a few BTech course specialisations, namely Civil Engineering, CSE, ECE, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. For this category, the admissions were closed with a rank of 160606, which is much higher than the OBC categories belonging to the OBC AI category, where the highest last round cutoff was 65903. This huge difference in both the quotas tells that the OBC category students under the Home State quota faced more accommodating cutoffs for all offered engineering branches.

NIT Silchar offers BTech at UG level and MTech, MSc and MBA at PG level. The college also offers PhD at Doctorate level. The courses are offered in full-time mode at the college campus.

Yes, entrance tests are mandatory for admission in NIT Silchar courses. National Institute of Technology admissions are entrance-based. The scores of entrance (CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ GATE/ IIT JAM/ JEE Mains) are considered for final seat allotment in preferred courses.
