BIT Mesra MSc admission is entrance-based. Candidates can apply for the PG course with a valid score of IIT JAM/CUET. It is also crucial that the aspirant meets the eligibility requirement, which is BSc degree with at least 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST category candidates). Eligible candidates can further visit the institute’s official website to fill out the application form. Candidates shortlisted based on exam scores are called for counselling by the institute.

The eligibility criteria is the minimum qualification that the course aspirant must have to be eligible for the course. Thus, aspirants with a valid BSc or equivalent degree in relevant field with a minimum of 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST) are eligible. The qualifying exam should have been passed from a recognised university. BIT Mesra offers nearly 12 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The offered courses are BTech, BArch, B.Pharmacy and BHMCT at the undergraduate level and MTech, MPharm, MBA, MCA and MSc courses at the postgraduate level. After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

BIT MESRA offers BTech in full-time mode in UG level for the duration of 4 years. There are 10 specialisations that BIT MESRA offers in BTech with an annual intake of 960 students, all specialisations combined. Admission to BTech is offered based on valid scores of accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main. Candidates shortlisted based on the exam score must appear for the JoSAA counselling. If the seats are left vacant after this counselling, then seat allotment for BIT Mesra is carried out through CSAB. 

BIT MESRA BTech fee structure includes tuition fees worth INR 13.35 Lakh. The graduates recieved an average package of INR 10.6 LPA, as per the recent placement drive.
