It is an excellent college.
Placements: For a long time, our college has been known for its placements. The college has something that many IITs don't have. BITS has placements in the IT sector and an edge in the finance, management, and core branches. The average salary package offered is 25 LPA for CS branch students and the salary package offered is more than 15 LPA for core branches.
Infrastructure: There are 13 hostels, out of which 12 are for boys and one is for girls, which is a large number. We have double and single-occupancy rooms. In the first and second years, we have double occupancy rooms, and from the third year onward, we have single occupancy rooms. Hostels are equipped with 24X7 Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Our college has excellent teachers. Many research opportunities are available under the supervision of professors in any department of your choice. The curriculum is well-designed and it matches that of the best institute in India. Exams are conducted twice in a semester that is mid-semester and comprehensive, along with regular tutorial tests.

Review of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
Placements: Campus placement for single-degree students begins in the 7th semester and one can choose to sit in the 7th or 8th semester. Although for internships, companies visited in the 3rd year itself. A huge number of companies visited the campus including the top MNCs like Amazon, Google, Flipkart, Goodman Sachs, Oracle, Bloomberg, and other thriving startups like Ola, Udaan, Cred, etc. The highest salary package offered was 98 LPA and the average salary package offered was 10 LPA - 12 LPA. Various profiles offered included analysts, consultants, software developers, product managers, core engineers, business development, etc. Around 85-90% of students got placed and the rest chose to go on for higher studies or prepare for other competitive exams.
Infrastructure: The library was a separate building and all the newly published research papers and journals were in it. Some of them were also made available online. There were sports facilities available for all sports in Gym G and Sac. There was QT in every hostel to play in hostels too. There were a huge number of clubs and departments run by students from coding to arts, to debate and entrepreneurship. All co-curricular activities were highly encouraged on campus. The huge campus was equipped with almost everything that an Indian engineering college could have. It included swimming pools, air-conditioned lecture halls, sports grounds, a gym, and equipped labs.
Faculty: The student-to-faculty ratio was not very high and can be approximated at around 1:45 whereas, in the common courses, this ratio in lecture classes can be high. Faculty members were very well versed in their department and most of them have Ph.D.s in their fields. They know more about the courses than required and some of them had participated in the research. The teaching methodology was great. It consisted of lecture classes and tutorial classes where one can get personal attention and labs. The exam schedule was given at the start of the year itself and had not shifted. Exams were difficult, especially the end-of-semester exams which were often open-book exams that make scoring in them tough but not if you were regular in classes.
Other: While preparing for JEE exam, we're told about the perks of joining BITS Pilani. The college is well respected among the community and in the industry. The placement statistics proved to be the deciding factor of all which were far better than most of the colleges. The fee structure was a bit too high as it is a private college. Education loans could be availed very easily. The BITSAT form was made available in the month of January. After filling up the form in the month of April, we had to choose our preferred date and slot via the online portal and then give BITSAT in May. Results are displayed on the spot and the counseling form is filled out in the month of June. There was a Facebook group called BITSAT which helped me a lot in making decisions. BITS Pilani hosts three annual fests every year namely, BOSM (Bits Open Sports Meet), the annual sports fest, which was held in the month of September; OASIS, the annual cultural fest, which was held in the month of October and was one of the biggest in the country; APOGEE, the annual Techfest, which was held in the month of March and was the oldest Techfest in the country.

Review of BITS Pilani - Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
Placements: Students are eligible to sit for placement in their final year. A lot of companies visit the campus, especially IT firms and consultancies. Core companies visit the campus very rarely. Companies that visited here last semester are IOCL, Amazon, Xilingo, Bounce, ZS Associates, and PwC.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of other things to do besides study. On campus, students can pursue their interests or hobbies by joining various clubs, departments, or sports teams. Every year, cultural festivals, sports meets, and tech fests are organised on a large scale. Double rooms are provided in the first year. From the second year, there are limited single rooms, and from the third year onward, single rooms are provided for every student. The size of the rooms is adequate. There is a courtyard to play in, an indoor sports room, a TV with a cable connection, water coolers, and snack vending machines in every hostel. Mess food is also good, with the option to get non-vegetarian food daily. There are also well-equipped labs for students to do experiments and learn about different topics.
Faculty: Faculty members are well educated and well known in their fields, with a lot of experience. They provide premium quality education. Right from the first semester, students are allowed to schedule their classes according to their comfort from the given list of classes and are also given the option to choose faculty for the respected course. There is a lot of flexibility in courses.
Other: I was interested in civil engineering, so I chose it. BITS Pilani is one of the premium institutes in India for engineering. This year, it is ranked 20 among the best engineering colleges by MHRD. There are many scholarships that are provided to eligible students. Two major scholarships provided by the institute are Merit-Cum Need scholarship (MCN) and merit scholarships. There are approximately ninety to a hundred students in major departmental courses, which may vary in the disciplinary courses.

It is one of the best engineering colleges in India.
Placements: Placements were 100%. The highest package for civil was 29 LPA, the lowest was 8 LPA, and the average was 12 LPA. Top recruiters were Schlumberger, ICICI, Cisco, Tekion, Flipkart, Siemens, Postman, etc. Students got internships at JPMC, UBS, CreditSuisse, JSW, LNT, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped with all the necessary machines. Wi-Fi is provided to every student. The library is one of the best in India. Hotels are good. Hygiene is taken very seriously by the staff. Food quality is very good compared to the notions people usually have regarding mess food.
Faculty: The quality of teachers is very good and one of the best in the country. Courses are taught with a picture of present industry demands and are pretty much relevant in this regard. Semester exams are moderate to difficult, and grading is done relatively, so you must outperform your peers to secure a good grade.

Review of BITS Pilani - Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
Placements: Almost all students are placed somewhere. The highest salary package offered is 37 LPA for tech role. The average salary package offered is 15 LPA for all roles. Around 60% of tech roles are open for civil. In civil core, the average salary package offered is around 12 LPA. Non core profiles like product management, consulting, analytics, banking, finance ranges from 12 LPA to 30 LPA depending on profile.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are decent. The library is good. The food served in the mess is average, but have many options on the campus for eating. All the classes have air-conditioner, Wi-Fi is good but has restrictions on it. Hostel facilities are good. The washrooms are clean and well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are good and highly qualified. The course curriculum is being updated as per needs regularly. The course is relevant to the industry and makes students skilled. Grading is tough compared to IITs, but almost all manage to pass. Very few get back in this courses.
Other: Students have three fests around a year. Connectivity to Delhi is good, through roadways buses and cabs can be easily reached.

It has good culture, great professors and an enormous pool of entrepreneurs.
Placements: The highest package offered is 17 LPA, and the average package is 8.5 LPA. The top recruiters are L&T and LTI. Most of the students got placed in IT companies. Some got placed in consultancy and finance firms, and some got into core-specific companies. The college has a strong placement unit that stops at nothing to get you placed, provided you have the right skills, which can be easily developed with all the free time you have on campus. Attendance is not compulsory here.
Infrastructure: The hostels are huge, well-ventilated and provide a sense of belonging. Food is great compared to an average mess, and canteens and food outlets are open till 2 am. We have a football ground, hockey ground, cricket grounds, badminton, table tennis, basketball and squash courts. A gym is also available. There are also numerous clubs and departments ranging from music, dance, classical dances, art and craft, photography, film and media, and a department to maintain and build digital infrastructure.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and have numerous ongoing research projects funded privately or by the DST government of India. The course is relevant and up to date with a number of labs, projects and assignments. The course provides great insights into current research, the newest technologies and industry practices.
Other: BITS is famous for the all round development of students, and the campus has amazing people and helpful professors. It provides once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. The campus hosts three fests every year which are filled with exciting games and thrilling competitions. Apart from academics and extracurricular activities, the campus boasts a museum, various parks and gardens and an aesthetic Rajasthan architecture. There is also CEERI and a gliding club nearby where BITSians have occasional visits.

The best college for all courses.
Placements: Placements ratio in BITS is 100% and many good opportunities are provided by the college. All the students got internships in their respective field with stipend and without stipend. Some of them have good contacts with industries so they are doing internships there.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is old with the best condition and its a symbol of BITS, Pilani. The library is fully modern and centralized with numerous books of all kinds and related to every field. The labs are well-equipped with all equipment and research facilities are available in the college. Sports grounds are available for football, basketball court, tennis court, cricket ground, etc.
Faculty: The faculty members are refined and all come from IIT's and Ph.D. holders with excellent knowledge of industries and how the market is changing. Every year new components are added in the curriculum which is required by industries by the board members of college. They also have focus on our over all personal development.

I am satisfied with the faculty and classrooms. I am a bit dissatisfied with the packages.
Placements: The college provides 100% placements for students. The average salary package offered ranges between 7-8 LPA. Companies like Tata Projects, L&T, etc., visit our college for placements. It offers the highest salary package for civil engineers. Top roles are offered in consultancy, and some students also opt for IT jobs if they clear the minimum barrier. Internships are regularly provided on the campus.
Infrastructure: The college provides computer labs. Wi-Fi facility is available all over the campus. The college conducts 3 days workshops occasionally. There is a lecture theatre complex where the lectures are held. The library is one of the biggest in India. A mess serves decent food for the students. There are many canteens, including Nescafe, Amul, etc.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified and knowledgeable. Sometimes it is difficult to understand their teaching style. The course curriculum is very good. In the first year itself, Auto CAD is taught at a high level.
Other: I have chosen this course because my family has a civil background and being a student of this college will surely help me in continuing my studies further. I wish the college should provide some more teachers, which would be helpful for students. Many events are organised in a year with sports fest named BOSM. Cultural festival named Oasis and technical fest named Apogee is also organised at our college.

The placements of Civil Engineers at BITS Pilani is quite good and at par at top IITs. The companies include L&T, Hindustan Construction, TCE etc.

You have to give BITSAT exam for getting admission here. There is no such lateral entry scheme.
