- The CMAT 2026 result has been declared for admission to the MBA/PGDM/MMS courses. Students can download their scorecards by logging into the official website.
- The MAT 2026 May session registrations have started for admission to the MBA course. For the PBT mode, the registration deadline is May 25, 2026, with the exam scheduled for May 31, 2026. For the CBT mode, the last date to register is Jun 8, 2026, for the exam taking place on Jun 14, 2026.

CUSAT admissions 2026 are both merit and entrance-based. The university conducts CUSAT CAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test to shortlist candidates for some of the programme. Cochin University of Science and Technology admission to MSc programmes is based on the CUSAT CAT (Common Admission Test) score. The entrance exam is conducted by the Directorate of Admissions. Candidates who appear for the entrance examination and secure a good score shall be eligible to take admission. Besidesm aspirants must also fulfil the eligibility requirements specific to MSc specialisations.

CUSAT Admission Process 2026
Cochin University of Science and Technology admission is a multi-step process. Candidates have to register, appear for selection rounds and finally book their seats by paying the programme fee. Cochin University of Science and Technology conducts an entrance examination by itself for admissions into both UG and PG courses. 2: Selection Rounds
CUSAT shortlists candidates for most of the courses based on CUSAT CAT results. CUSAT CAT is a computer-based test which has a different syllabus for each course admission. Below is the admission criteria for the top courses:
CUSAT BTech Admission 2026: CUSAT offers admission to its flagship programme i.e. BTech based on CUSAT CAT scores of the candidates. The university also accepts admission for BTech (lateral entry).
CUSAT Integrated Law Admission 2026: The university offers five-year Integrated Law programmes-BA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons) and BSc LLB (Hons). The selection for these courses is based on CUSAT CAT scores of the candidates.
CUSAT PG Admission 2026: At the PG level, the university offers MSc, MTech, MBA and LLB programmes. The university accepts scores in GATE for MTech, KMAT, CAT and CMAT for MBA.

CUSAT Fees 2026: Affordability & ROI
CUSAT fees include multiple components like tuition, library, lab, quasi, etc. There is also a one-time caution deposit that candidates need to pay at the time of admission. There is a relaxation in fees for SC/ ST candidates.
CUSAT follows a fee refund policy in case of cancellation or withdrawal of admission. A 100% refund is processed in case of admission cancellation before the formally notified last date of admission.

CUSAT Fee Refund Policy
CUSAT refunds some percentage of fee depending on the time of admission cancellation. A maximum of 100% refund is done. The refund is applicable on the aggregate fee which excludes the caution deposit and refundable deposits, if any. Below is the fee refund policy followed at CUSAT:

Candidates aspiring to pursue M.Tech from CUSAT shall have BE/BTech/Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 60% aggregate. The selection is further done by the university committee basis on the applicant’s score in the qualifying examinations (GATE/CUSAT DAT).

CAT is one of the accepting exams for CUSAT MBA admission. There are two types of CAT accepted for MBA. One is CAT conducted by conducted by IIM for admission to MBA programme. The other is CUSAT CAT conducted by Cochin University of Science and Technology. CUSAT CAT is accepted for MBA and other courses except PhD and Diploma programmes. Below is the CUSAT NIRF Student Diversity Report. Looking at the overall data, CUSAT has a maximum enrollment of 1803 in the PG 2-year course. The highest enrollment of students outside the state was in UG 4-year programme. UG 4-year course also saw 10 enrollments from International students.
The female participation was 66 % in UG 5-year course, indicating gender imbalance. The female percentage was also dominant (65%) in PG 5-year course.
Looking at the Management data, a total of 251 students enrolled in PG 2-year programme out of which 51% were female indicating gender balance. About 20% students were from outside the state.

CUSAT Application Process 2026
The mode of application is online. Only the candidates who submit the form successfully become eligible to appear for the entrance exam and to take admission. Students can check the step-wise application process below:

2: Click on “New Candidate Registration”.
3: Fill out the application form.
4: Upload a recent passport-size photograph. Also upload a scanned image of your signature in landscape orientation. The images shall be in .png or .jpg or .jpeg format.
- For Photograph – Upload a passport-size photo with dimension 150 px X 57 px and file size not more than 500 KB.
- For Signature – File size shall not be more than 100 KB and the dimension should be 130 px X 57 px
5: Select the programme or combination of programmes.
6: After submission of course details, check all the details on the short preview.
7: Pay the application fee through credit/debit cards or net banking.
8: Choose the neatest or preferred test centre.
9: Take a print of the confirmation page.

No, the candidates need not send a copy of the dully-filled application form to the university.
