Good placements till now.
Placements: My department has got good placements. Last year, out of 26 students, 24 of them got placed. The package varies from 4 LPA to 16 LPA. You will be able to join IT field companies and also mainly core companies. The companies include Reliance, L&T, Teachnook, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The students are allotted hostels. You will get all the facilities in the hostel. You have Wi-Fi, safe drinking water, a TV room, carrom, table tennis, etc. inside the hostel. You will also have a mess in the hostel. The food is average, and there is a university library available. Students can use the student lounge in the library till 11 PM, which is a very good thing.
Faculty: The teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher. Some of them are very good, and some of them are just average. But you will be able to easily pass the exams. You have to try for internships, and you will get help from seniors. You don't need to study like an entrance exam to pass the exams.
Other: The campus is very active. You have good freedom.

Academic life is good in Cochin University of Science and Technology. A full review.
Placements: In my course, approximately 80% students get placement. The highest package is 8 LPA, the average package is 5 or 6 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. L&T and Reliance are top recruitment companies in my course. Around 60% students get internships in core companies and industries. Initially, roles are offered as interns, and after some time, they get the post of manager.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my college is good and well maintained, and many books are available in the library. Many labs are there which are for our courses, and for computer classes, Wi-Fi is available. In the hostel, Wi-Fi is also available, and the food is quite good. Medical facilities are available in the warden’s room for any emergency. Indoor badminton, table tennis, carom board, and a small football ground are also available.
Faculty: Yes, they are helpful, well qualified, and have high knowledge. They are all good at teaching and also helpful for guidance in doing projects. Yes, courses are well arranged and provide a little less help for going into industry. Semester exams are not that much difficult, but according to the time schedule, some time they are a little hectic and for passing marks, a minimum of 50 marks out of 100 is required.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in engineering. The best thing about this course is that with less fee, I completed my courses and also got evolved in my electronics field. The best thing about my courses is that in the current time, the semiconductor field is highly demanding, so I like to be a part of it .

A good course in a great university.
Placements: 95% of students are placed from B.Tech Instrumentation. Top recruiting companies are Reliance, Tata Power, Nokia, L&T, Teachnook. About 90% got internships in Reliance and Teachnook. The average package is around 6 LPA, and the highest is 25 LPA. Top roles are Instrumentation Engineer and Control System Engineer.
Infrastructure: Our department has Wi-Fi and 10 labs for research facilities, 7 classrooms, and a library which is very good. The hostel is better and has better infrastructure. It has a canteen, a playground, and a table tennis ground. On campus, there are also vending machines.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and helpful. They are, of course, qualified since they teach at a reputed college. The course curriculum is relevant. The pass percentage is 95%, and semester exams are a little difficult. Exams are easy if you study properly. The teachers are the best at CUSAT.
Other: My brother got placed from this course, so I decided to take this course.

The most beautiful place to study is CUSAT.
Placements: 60–70% of students got placements. 5 Lacs per annum is the lowest, and 9 Lacs per annum is the highest package. L&T, Vedanta, L&T, and Reliance are the top recruiting companies. Graduate engineer trainee posts are the most recruiting roles offered by the companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are more comfortable and convenient for students. Wi-Fi is available in the department. Classrooms and libraries are also convenient. Hostels are provided for the students. The food quality is also good. Medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: The teacher-student relationship in our department is so awesome. The teachers are highly educated. The syllabus is most relevant and industry-related. 50 is a pass percentage for students to pass. The semester exams are not tough. It is easy to get pass marks.
Other: Instrumentation and control engineering is a multidisciplinary course. So it is more relevant in society. Syllabus is so much related to industry. There are technical fests are also there. So many peer groups are there for more good connections. Scholarships are also provided. Extracurricular activities are also there.

Absolutely satisfied with the college and course because of the placement .
Placements: I'm studying BTech in instrumentation and control engineering. Almost all students were placed last year, like the placement percentage is 97%. The top recruiters are L&T, Reliance , Tata Power, Global Foundries, Teachnook, etc. Internships start from the 3rd semester, and those willing can do internships, and everyone gets an internship.
Infrastructure: Our department has a well-defined infrastructure which includes all the machineries required for the course and for research purposes, as there are lots of research scholars too. First-year boys get the Sahrudaya hostel ,which was built in 2022, so the hostel and facilities are awesome as it's a new hostel. The mess food is also tasty.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are well qualified and experienced. Most of them are PhD holders, and there are many guest faculties who are also awesome. The curriculum and syllabus are relevant and up-to-date. It makes us fit for industrial standards. There is a little difficulty in certain subjects; other than that, everything is good.

Q:   Is 12000 a good rank in CUSAT for BTech?
A:

Looking at the previous-year General All-India CUSAT CAT ranks for BTech, there is a less chance of getting into the programme with a rank of 12,000. Candidates can get a seat but not in top specialisations like Computer Science Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ship Building, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, etc. Students must secure a rank under 1,000 to get a seat in the preffered BTech specialisation at CUSAT.
