CUET UG is compulsory for admission in the affiliated colleges of University of Delhi for UG courses. Delhi University introduced admissions through CUET scores in 2024 for candidates who seek admission. Candidates will not be granted admission on the basis of merit of class 12th. However, there are some specific percentage criteria needed to appear for the CUET exam for class 12th candidates which is given below:

• Students must have passed Class 12 or appeared in Class 12 from a recognized board in any stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes in the central, state, private or deemed universities.
• For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12; for SC/ST, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Class 12 to be eligible for the CUET 2025. For BTch programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45%, and that of the reserved category candidates is 40%.

The Hindu College BA Programme is offered in four subject combinations. These combinations are listed below:

• BA (History+Political Science)
• BA (Economics+English)
• BA (Sanskrit+Poitical Science)
• BA (Hindi+Philosophy)

CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in May/June for 37 subjects. The mode of examination is CBT (Computer Based Test). NTA did not release official notification for CUET UG date sheet. No, Delhi University offers admission to the BSc programmes at its colleges based on CUET score only. There is no provision for direct admissions. Hence, aspirants must take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The national-level exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). It is conducted in different phases. Eligible students can apply on NTA website to take the test. Students seeking admission to DU colleges should select DU college plus preferred course at the time of registration. 

After CUET result declaration, aspirants are required to register on DU CSAS portal. The course and college allotment process is done based on the preferences submitted by the students during the form filling. After final selections, students can pay the admission fee to confirm admission.

For admission in DU BA programmes, the aspirants must be Class 12 or equivalent examination pass from a recognised board. Eligible students have to take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The selection is done based on performance in the entrance examination. Delhi University allot colleges based filled preferences and the applicants scores in the CUET exam.
