SRCC: The dream college review by a first-year student.
Placements: The placement cell is one of the most highlighted aspects of SRCC. The brand value that the name holds attracts the top recruiters overall. The competition remains tough. Although one holds maximum chance of getting placed at a reputed company if the CV gets shortlisted, it takes A LOT to get it past that stage. It wouldn't be wrong to say that an average CV of an SRCC student might even be better than the best CV of the other colleges. So the competition is what makes it tough otherwise ample opportunities are provided.
Infrastructure: I would say that the infra is pretty good. We are provided with all the essential facilities and even though problems arise, they are addressed by the authorities in very little time. The college canteen has been functional since the last week (second week of August) and not so soon after that, a petition was filed concerning the hot and humid temperature. It was addressed by the authorities within less than 4 days and the AC's have already been installed. The construction work seems to be happening recently since the college has entered its second century.
Faculty: I think the faculty is one of the main reasons that make SRCC stand out compared to other north campus colleges. Some highly qualified individuals don't just disseminate information like high school teachers but also help us do critical thinking. The plus point is that almost all the professors have published or assisted in writing various books from their field of study (which are also used to teach in other colleges).
Other: SRCC offers only B.A. Economics Hons and B.Com (Hons). I am enrolled in B.Com (Hons) because it provides more career options than Eco Hons. Given that I don't really have my life and interests figured out. I wanted to keep the maximum options in view so that I can explore and discover my niche during my college period. The annual fest Crossroads is among the best fests in DU and other than that the college societies keep arranging various events in which famous personalities are very often invited as guests so it provides a great platform for building connections. Overall I would rate the college (keeping various factors in mind) as 9/10.

Very good college according to the name.
Placements: The college has decent placement opportunities. Mainly, students from fields like B.Com or B.Sc. graduate take part in the placement cell. There is a separate placement society which provides details about placement and internship opportunities. Not big companies, but decent companies. Other than that, a few low-grade companies came to the college. They provide placement to good students.
Infrastructure: Accommodation is a very big problem in this college. You have to take a PG or flat because no accommodation is provided by the college. You can find Wi-Fi around the college campus, but it is in certain specific areas like the library or computer labs.
Faculty: The curriculum of each and every course is according to the New Education Policy 2020. It is very decent and very good, I will say. You have to put in some extra effort from your side if you want to be better in this college. Teachers and faculty members are very good.
Other: You get to see a lot of different types of societies like debating society, cultural society, and dance society. Nowadays, chess societies are also created in the college. Other different types of things like cultural events, etc. are there in the college.

All is good but there are some problems with the exam form at the time of registration.
Placements: I am from a commerce background and I have done my graduation from Delhi University NCWEB. They also provide placement opportunities to us and there are some vacancies in companies like Wipro, Tata Spectrum, and many more. From our course there are some students who got internship and job opportunities from those companies.
Infrastructure: They provide good facilities to use and create a new building also. The canteen is also good. Classrooms are big and there are also arrangements for sports games and other activities. The problem is that the washrooms are in bad condition and the water is not coming from the tap.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified. They provide study material to their students and help them in every situation. Semesters are very easy and give many chances to us. Our TIC is also nice and helpful. They provide all the information on WhatsApp.
Other: I chose this course because I am from a commerce background, and the best thing is nature. There are many plants and also a small river.

Dyal Singh - Prime college of Delhi University.
Placements: About 20-30 percent of the total students enrolled in the programs get placement from the college. The companies that participated in the placement are not very reputed. About 4 LPA-5 LPA packages are seen for the B.Com students. The placement cell is not effective at all.
Infrastructure: The college is infrastructure is very good and have all major facilities of fan, light and proper ventilation. The library of the college is too amazing, having a space for about 100 students at a single time. The washrooms too are neat and clean. The canteen provides very good food.
Faculty: The teachers are good in behaviour. The teachers enrolled are highly qualified and educated providing a good education to the students. The course curriculum is very easy to understand and helps in gaining practical knowledge and skills simultaneously.

Amazing faculty and crowd, top-class societies, but infrastructure can be improved.
Placements: As per my course, B.Com (Hons.), 30-40% of students get placed. The highest placement is 22 LPA. The average is 6 LPA. Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG are the top recruiters of our college. 200 students got internships, including students from the B.Com programme. Top roles could be Assistant Research Analyst, Financial Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: My college provides comfortable classrooms and an air-conditioned library. There is a well-maintained botanical garden for students. ICT labs are also well-maintained and air-conditioned. We have medical rooms and a sports arena. Hostels also have separate AC reading rooms for girls and boys. The canteen of our college is hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are quite friendly and approachable. They use engaging teaching methods in the classroom. I think the curriculum is not up to modern-day skill requirements. But still, teacher support beyond the syllabus helps students in their careers. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: I chose Venky because of its corporate structure. SVC has many societies, and among them, two are international: 180 DC and IFSA. Our college organizes one of the best fests of DU, Nexus. But I think the infrastructure can be improved to bear Delhi weather. During the rainy season, water gets clogged in front of the gate, and it is quite difficult to sit without AC in the summer season.

The college life of Shivaji College, DU.
Placements: 1 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest is 1.29 LPA. The average package is 3 LPA. No companies visited for my course. No one got any internship. No specific role is offered for my course students. The companies that came to recruit are mostly for sales and HR roles.
Infrastructure: We have a computer lab which is the best infrastructure for our course. New classrooms are good and old classrooms are well designed. Canteen is good. First aid medical facilities are there, but not for serious illness. Necessary sports equipment is not there.
Faculty: Faculty is great and thus the teaching quality is awesome. The course curriculum of DU is not relevant to the real world but it is. The semester exams are not difficult. You just have to study for 1 night before the exam. If you do that, you pass very easily.
