DIT University Course Admissions 2026 (Open): Eligibility, Fees, Application, Selection

Admission to MCA is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates who have qualified UKSEE are also eligible for admission. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

DIT University offers good and standard packages to students. As per the latest report, the participating recruiters offered over 1,450 job offers to the students of the batch 2024. The highest package offered at DIT Dehradun in 2024 stood at INR 58 LPA. Earlier, over 270 recruiters participated in the placement process 2023 at DIT University and presented over 1,270 job offers to the students of Class 2023. The highest package package offered during DIT University placements in 2023 was also INR 58 LPA.

Step 1: Online Application

The mode of application is online for all courses. Candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for admission.

Step 2: Selection Rounds

The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. Additionally, candidates who do not have any of the scores mentioned above need to sit and appear for merit-based counselling on DUET followed by PI.

Step 3: Counselling & Admission Confirmation

After the completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for merit-based counselling and document verification. Selected candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their admission.

During DIT University placements 2023, over 350 recruiters participated and offered 1,350 jobs to batch 2023 of courses BTech,  MTech, and MBA, etc. The key highlights of DIT University placements for the Class of 2022 and 2023 are tabulated below:

MBA is a two-year course offered in four major specialisations. A minimum of 50% aggregate through Class 10, Class 12 and graduation is required to apply for the MBA course. Candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility requirements and submit their proof of eligibility during the document verification round. Any candidate found ineligible during the verification process, will not be given admission.

BTech is a four-year course offered at the UG level in seven specialisations, namely Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil, Electronics & Communication and Petroleum Engineering. Some of specialisations like CSE and Mechanical Engineering have sub-specialisations. Candidates after completing Class 12 can apply for the DIT University Dehradun BTech course.

DIT Dheradun BPharm course admission is a multi-level procedure consisting of online registration, shortlisting based on selection criteria, and counselling. Before proceeding with the admission process, the aspirants are advised to carefully check the course-specific eligibility criteria. The merit-based counselling is carried out based on merit in Diploma course of BPharm lateral entry course and UKSEE scores for BPharm programme. • BPharm: INR 4.4 lakh
• BPharm (Lateral): INR 4.88 lakh

DIT University course fee includes multiple components, such as hostel fee, caution money, tuition fee, etc. The one-time fee included in the BA fee structure is INR 15,000. In addition, the hostel charges range from INR 4.18 Lacs to INR 5.55 lakh and the tuition fee ranges between INR 1.8 Lacs and INR 2.4 lakh. The general elective courses offered in BA (H) in English at DIT University are categorised into four parts. There are a total of eight electives. Students shall be allowed to choose some of these courses along with core courses. Mentioned below are the offered electives:

A 26% waiver is offered to students belonging to Uttarakhand/ Himalayan State Quota on first-year tuition fees. Students pursuing BArch need to pay below tuition fee in the first year:

The UKSEE application form is released by the Uttarakhand Technical University in online mode for BPharm at DIT University. As per past years' data, the application form is generally released in April month of the admission year. Aspirants can also check out the exam conducting body official website regularly to stay updated.

DIT University has a pre-defined criteria for fee refund on admission withdrawal/cancellation. The registration fee of INR 1,250 and INR 10,000 of admission fee is non-refundable. Mentioned below is the DIT BPharm fee refund criteria:

DIT University BPharm fee is cumulative of different components, such as caution money, hostel fee, tuition fee, and more. Some of the fee components are refundable, while some are non-refundable. The one-time fee is INR 15,000. Additionally, the hostel fee is up to INR 5.55 lakh. Students can pay the tuition fee semesterly or annually as per convenience. Mentioned below is the DIT tuition fee for both the programmes:

• BPharm: INR 4.4 lakh
• BPharm (Lateral Entry): INR 4.88 lakh

The students wanting to pursue Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm) course from DIT University should have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board. In addition, the qualifying exam should have been passed from a recognised board. Students must also hold the documents or pass certificates at the time of form filling or admission. These documents are required by the university for verification purposes.

To withdrawal the application from the hostel, candidates are required to submit their request to the administration department. If the student withdraws before the notified date of commencement of classes/reporting for hostel, only Rs. 1,000/- will be deducted as processing charges and balance shall be refunded. If the student has availed hostel facility even for one day in a calendar month, then Mess & Laundry fee for that calendar month shall be deducted.

In  DIT University, Registration fee of INR 1,250 and Admission Fee of INR 10,000 fees once paid will not be refunded once the payment is done. All withdrawal applications will be processed by the Registrar Office of DIT University on recommendations of the Head, Admissions. Further, In case, the student reports to attend the Programme and subsequently applies for withdrawal, an additional amount of Rs 10,000/- on account of Joining Kit will be deducted over and above from the refundable amount as mentioned in the table provided above.
