DIT Dehradun BA course admission is merit-based. Aspirants who fulfil the eligibility criteria can visit the official website to apply. Shortlisted candidates have to participate in a merit-based counselling process for seat allotment. After document verification and admission fee payment, the seat enrolment is completed. The total tuition fee for the UG course ranges between INR 1.8 Lacs and INR 2.4 lakh. The given fee is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to change and hence, is indicative.
DIT University BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters at the UG level. The UG-level course is offered across different specialisations. Some of the specialisations in which the course is offered are Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. The university also offers lateral entry to BTech courses. The university admits candidates to the BTech courses based on JEE scores/merit in Class 12.
Admission to the BTech course is based on the JEE Main score or Class 12 marks. The university may not offer direct admission as primarily the selection is merit-based. Thus, the aspirants Class 12 scores are considered. However, for the BSc Nursing course, students have to take the DITU Nursing Entrance Test. To enquire about admission under management quota, the students should reach out to the admission office.
The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT University Dehradun also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. DIT is not a Tier 1 university. It is generally considered a Tier 2 private university. Tier 1 universities are IITs, IIITs, and others. Aspirants must fulfil the eligibility requirements for admission to a BSc course at DIT University. As per the official website, the common eligibility criteria are Class 12 or equivalent pass in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics (As per chosen specialisation) as mandatory subjects with at least 50% aggregate.
