DTU MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2024
DTU MTech is a two year PG programme. It is offered in full-time mode as well as in part-time mode. The programme is offered across 25 specialisations and is offered through 11 departments, namely Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Industrial Biotechnology, Civil Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering, among others. DTU MTech admission is subject to a valid score in the GATE exam.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A pass in relevant UG degree with at least 60% aggregate
- Those in the final year of their UG degree can also apply
- Those with AMIE/ AMIS/ AMIICHE/ AMIIM/ Grad IETE or those who possess a BSc/ Diploma in Engineering are also eligible

DTU MTech Admission 2024: How to Apply?
DTU MTech course admissions are decided on the entrance basis with the scores obtained in the GATE entrance exam. Candidates must complete the DTU MTech course admissions in online mode following the steps mentioned below:
1: Visit the official website of DTU (http://admission.dtu.ac.in/)
2: Fill in the complete application form and upload the photograph as per the instructions available in the form.
3: Pay the DTU MTech application fees and submit the form.
4: All candidates must take a printout of the completed form after fee payment since it needs to be carried out during the final admission round. The printed form should be affixed with the same photograph which was uploaded in the online application form. The application fee is INR 1,500 for all categories.

Yes, DTU has the below mentioned seat reservation policy at DTU. The college has 85% seats in all the participating institutions are earmarked for Resident Indian Nationals belonging to Delhi region (as specified below). The rest 15% seats are earmarked for Resident Indian Nationals belonging to outside Delhi region.
No, DTU does not conduct any entrance exam of its own for admission to any of the UG, PG or doctoral-level courses. Admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling are conducted by JAC Delhi. Further, DTU admission to all the remaining courses is mostly based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED, GATE, CAT, MAT and CMAT, among others. However, there are a few MBA specialised courses and BBA, admission to which is offered based on the past qualifying exam (UG level) followed by an interview round.

Over 350 recruiters participated in the 2024 placements and selected more than 1,900 students. The total number of offers made was above 2,053. The overall highest domestic package stood at INR 85.30 LPA. Furthermore, the DTU average package 2024 stood at INR 15.45 LPA. Over 326 offers were of packages above INR 20 LPA. The list of recruiters for Delhi Technological University placements in 2024 included Salesforce, Samsung, Deloitte, Adobe, and many others.

DTU MTech 2024 FAQs
DTU is indeed a great college for engineering, specially B.Tech. Since it takes students through JEE Mains, the quality of students is also very good.
Being a very old government college, it has gained immense recognition as well. Syllabus is a bit outdated. The subjects in the first year are common for all, irrespective of branches. Classes are held regularly, though there are bunks as well during exams, fests etc.
The professors are well educated, most of them have done PhD. Some of the teachers are good, interesting while some make the subject very boring and dull. Some of them would just copy the things from the book without actually making the students understand. I would advice to be regular in class and always stay in touch with the syllabus. The study during engineering is comparatively easier than that during JEE and so one can easily cope up.
DTU is not just great in terms of academics or placements, but the fests and societies also help a student to develop as an individual. It makes you a much better person rather than just a bookish engineer.
The total tuition fee of M.Tech at DTU is INR 1.1 Lacs to INR 1.2 lakh. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission. This number is taken from the official sources of college. It can change.

Highest number of offers were made in MTech DSC branch followed by AFI branch during the MTech placement drive. The total number of offers made in these 2 branch was 26 and 23. 20 and 19 offers were made in MTech CSE and VLS branch. 17 offers each were made in ISY and STE branch this year.
