GIET University Hosts PRAGATI: A Transformative Agri-Innovation & Sustainability Event

Mr. Ramkishor Yadav, CEO of ACIC GIET University Foundation, discussed the vision and mission of the foundation, stressing the importance of creating a thriving startup ecosystem in Odisha. He spoke about the foundation’s role in supporting students through incubation, mentorship, and financial aid to transform their ideas into successful ventures. Dr. V.S. Devdas, Dean of R&D and Dean In-Charge of the School of Agriculture, GIET University, also addressed the gathering, encouraging students to embrace entrepreneurship as a means to develop solutions for critical challenges such as food security, rural upliftment, and climate resilience.

Students of Civil Engineering Participates in Megalith, 2020

March 2, 2020: Final year student Abhisekh Kumar Dubey of Civil Engineering Department, GIET University represented the University at Megalith, 2020. It is India’s largest annual technical fest conducted by the Civil Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT). The two-day event was organised between February 29-March 1.  Abhishek was honoured for his outstanding performance at the event.

Megalith has achieved considerable popularity in the engineering and corporate sector since it’s inception in 2009.

Infrastructure, facilities, and placements of the current university.

Placements: Placement is good and the placement cell is also good. 90 percent of students got placed from our course. The highest, the lowest, and the average package is around 20 LPA, 3 LPA, and 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Highradius, Saras, Deloitte, TCS, Accenture, and other startup companies. 80 percent of students got internships from our course in companies such as Sequspace, Highradius, and Saras. Top role is system engineer.

Modern University campus placement.

Placements: Our course placement rate is 80 percent in the last year. The highest package of our course is 25 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The average is 5 to 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Students get internship opportunities from the 3rd year of the course. It plays a top role in our course.

It is best in terms of ROI.

Placements: Placements are good and decent. Companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra visit us many times, offering various packages. Mainly, they offer around 3–4 LPA, so I am not very satisfied with the campus placements. They can do better in terms of campus recruitment and offer higher packages.

Good placements in the 2022 batch.

Placements: Almost all students got placement from last year, with the highest salary of 10 LPA, the lowest salary of 3.5 LPA, and an average of 5 LPA. UltraTech, ACC Limited, JWS, TCE, Jindal, and Nalco are the recruiting companies. This course offers T&P classes and company visits.

Good faculty members and top-notch environment at GIET.

Placements: More than 80 percent of students have been placed from last year in our AIML department. The top recruiting MNC's are ServiceNow, Google, Amazon AWS, and TCS. About 100 percent of students got internships this year. Top roles offered are data consultant, software engineer, and data analytics.

Absolutely satisfied because of facilities and good placement.

Placements: Around 75% of students in our course get placed. The highest package is around 20 LPA, the lowest package is around 5 LPA, and the average package is around 6–8 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Accenture, Capgemini, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and others. Many students get internship opportunities from companies like HighRadius and various startup companies.
