Students of Civil Engineering Participates in Megalith, 2020
March 2, 2020: Final year student Abhisekh Kumar Dubey of Civil Engineering Department, GIET University represented the University at Megalith, 2020. It is India’s largest annual technical fest conducted by the Civil Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT). The two-day event was organised between February 29-March 1. Abhishek was honoured for his outstanding performance at the event.
Megalith has achieved considerable popularity in the engineering and corporate sector since it’s inception in 2009.

Placements: For the placement, the GIET T&P cell provides technical, reasoning classes, and interview sessions for every student. It invites MNCs like Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, TCS, Cognizant, etc. In the previous year, TCS hired around 150 students and more than 30 students were hired by Accenture. The packages are around 5 LPA to 15 LPA.
Placements: Almost 100% of students got placed last year. Most students get placed in marketing, consulting, finance, and production. The highest package is 15 LPA. The lowest is 5 LPA. The average is 7 LPA. Students get two-month internships from TCS, HDFC, Amazon, Larsen & Toubro, etc.
Placements: Placement is not good. In our course, the placement ratio is 50 percent. This is not much better than other colleges in Odisha. The lowest is not mentioned, but I think the highest package is approximately 10 LPA in our course. Top companies that visited for placement drives include Tech Mahindra, a mechanical startup, Startup India for students, etc. Internship depends on students' study performance. 70 percent of students got an internship from our course. Placements: It is a modern-style college in Odisha. There is a placement with a proper 100 percent guarantee. The package was 20 LPA plus in our previous year. Now the placement drive is ongoing. Top companies that visited for placement with high packages include TCS, Saras, Deloitte, ByteIQ, etc. Internship depends on a student's performance. Top roles offered by our course are software developer, website designer, or developer.
Placements: Placement review is Bad. This college placement cell's efforts are 100 percent but placement offers depend upon students performance. The highest package is not much better but it is adjustable, like 18 LPA. The lowest is 3 LPA. Top companies that visit for placement are TCS, Wipro, White Noise, HighRadius, Saras, etc. Internship offers start from the start of our course. Top roles are web development, software developer, and data analytics.
Placements: About 95 percent of deserving students are placed in good companies with good packages. The highest and the lowest packages offered by the companies are 12 LPA and 4 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, IBM, and many more. Roles offered are software and analyst.
