GBPUAT offers admission to BTech course based on JEE Main score. Except BTech in Food Technology and Biotechnology, the selection for all BTech specialisations is based on JEE Main. Shortlisted candidates are required to participate in UKSEE Counselling. Shortlisted candidates need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The total tuition fee for GBPUAT for BTech ranges between INR 1.30 lakh and INR 2.40 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Besides, candidates also need to pay an application fee in the start which is INR 1,200 (INR 600 for SC/ ST/ PH).

Your score and rank in JEE Mains will determine the chances of you getting into the college. Also, only your rank in JEE Mains is going to decide the branch you will be alloted. There are total 9 engeneering branches in the university out of which 1 is headed by College Of Basic Sciences and Humanities (Biotechnology Engg)while the rest are under the College of Technology. 

For branches like Computer and Information Technology, you really need to score good. Especially for general category students the closing rank is about under 40-50k. And for branches like electrical and electronics and communication engineering your rank must be around 90k. And for the rest branches like mechanical, industrial and production Engg, agricultural and civil engineering lower ranks under 3 Lacs may be considered.

GBPUAT offers admission based on entrance exam score for most of the UG, PG and PhD courses. Patnanagar University conducts GBPUAT entrance exam for various UG and PG courses such as MSc, BSc, etc. The university conducts separate exams for UG, PG and MCA programme. GBPUAT offers M.Sc courses which accept the admission through CUET conducted by NTA and Entrance Exam conducted by University.

The basic requirement for all the courses is a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline. Admission to all the courses is done on the basis of merit secured in the entrance exam conducted by the university.
