Almost every student in these branches gets placed but the case is very bad for core branches as there is very less placement for mechanical, civil and electrical branches.

I am dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: The placement percentage in my college is below average because I am currently in my last semester, and so far. Only 7 out of 66 students in the mechanical engineering stream have been placed. The internship opportunities are also very average, and the top roles are not specified in my college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in my college is good in some areas, such as the library and the stadium, which are excellent. Facilities available include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and smart classes in every classroom. However, the hostel quality is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and experienced, but they are not very helpful in some aspects, such as assigning too many tasks during crucial exam periods. The course curriculum lacks practical applications, semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and grading is strict, following an absolute marking system.
Other: I am interested in mechanical engineering because I am curious to learn about mechanical mechanisms, such as IC engines, compressors, and turbine concepts. I want to improve the teaching quality in my college. The events and fests are not very good.

I am dissatisfied with placements.
Placements: In our college, campus placements are very minimal. Till now, only 7 out of 66 students got placed in our college in mechanical engineering course. Packages are very low, and it varies between 4-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like LNT, ITC, etc., visit the college to hire students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is average. There is a university library for the whole university that consists of seven colleges. In every department, there is also a separate small library for a particular department. Wi-Fi and air-conditioning facilities are provided by the university.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Sometimes, they are not helpful if we consider practical knowledge of the subject and this is due to less interaction between faculty members and students. The teaching quality can be improved. Semester exams are quite difficult to pass due to tough markings. The pass percentage is 50%.

If students join this college then they will get the value of this college.
Placements: Placements are not good in the core branch, but mechanical engineering is the best. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA for mechanical engineering. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA for CSE and it has good placements.
Infrastructure: Our college has a beautiful building. The 1st-year hostel is not good, because it is one of the oldest hostels of this university. A new hostel has been constructed for students. The laboratory facility is good, and regular classes are also conducted.
Faculty: Faculty members are good for some branches, especially for the mechanical. The semester exam schedule is hectic.
Other: This college should decrease its attendance criteria from 80% to 60%, and they should also change passing marks from 50% to 30. Our college conducts fests and events for students. All co-curricular activities are conducted by students which makes this college different.

Literally very good environment for those who want to grow up and want to be the best engineer.
Placements: According to the figures of last some years, almost 30 to 35 percent students get placed on campus. Few students apply for off campus placement. In mechanical engineering branch most of the students also prepare for GATE or other competitive exams and go for higher education. Pantnagar provides better competitive environment to prepare for the exams like GATE UPSC CAT CDS. The highest package is around 12 Lacs per annum. The lowest package 2.5 Lacs per annum. Average package 5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Tata motors, Ashok Leyland, John Deere, Hero Motto corp ect. Almost all students gets internship and it's depends on students that which company they opt.
Infrastructure: Faculty members and infrastructure is very good for specially mechanical Engineering branch because it is one of the oldest and core branch of Pantanagar. Wi-Fi facilities and computing facilities are available in college. We can get access of Wi-Fi in hostels also. Well maintained lebs, workshops and classroom which gives a very comfortable environment to learn. It has one of the biggest library of India. Hostels are good. Playground is also available in every hostel. Quality of food in the mesh is very good. Food contain all nutritions and many types of dishes in a week. It has a university hospitals. Apart from all hostels playground, there is a stadium of University, where regularly lot of games and sports events are organised.
Faculty: All the professors in the course are well qualified, experienced and knowledgeable. Every student has provided an advisory who help students throughout the course. Other professors also give their best to improve the performance of students. Teaching quality is quite good. Yes this course curriculum is relevant. The student with good knowledge of course with some soft skills management skills make students industry ready. Semester exams are average they are based on the concept which are tech in classrooms. 50 percent minimum to pass ka course.
Other: Mechanical Engineering branch is one of the oldest and core branch of College of technology Pantnagar. You will definitely get well experienced and qualified professors in this course. There are lots of lebs and workshops for this course. Some factors also depend on your interest. Add some knowledge about artificial intelligence. There are lots of societies in the campus so there are lots of events and fests can be seen in whole year. Campus surrounding and atmosphere is very calm with greenary. Students can also gets scholarship according to their abilities.

I am satisfied with the college, which has decent facilities and feels like an amazing experience.
Placements: We are currently in our B.Tech first year. Our batch strength is 60. The placements in the mechanical engineering branch are decent, with about 60% to 70% placed in good companies. Companies like Tata Motors, Ashoka Leyland, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, etc., come every year for college placements. Our college is situated in the Sidcul area, so placements are decent in the mechanical engineering branch. Every year, students get internships in various fields. The top role offered in companies is graduate engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: The college was established in the year 1960, so the infrastructure of the college is very old. The labs are decent. In our branch, all the labs are in good condition. A Wi-Fi facility is also available in the college. We have to register for the Wi-Fi facility, and we are given 1 GB of data per day. Hostel facilities are average, and mess food quality is good. There is a university hospital where all the medical facilities are available for students as well as employees of the college. Sports facilities are good here. Every year, different types of competitions are organised and prizes or certificates are distributed.
Faculty: All faculty members are good in terms of knowledge of their respective subjects as well as interaction among the students. The course curriculum makes the students industry-ready. Different types of well-equipped labs are present in the college where faculty members give the students practical knowledge and make them industry-ready. The pattern of semester exams is external. It's not so difficult to score well on semester exams and get a decent CGPA.
Other: I love to work in the machining field with technology, so I chose the mechanical engineering branch.

Q:   What is the selection criteria for BTech at GBPUAT?
A:

GBPUAT offers admission to BTech course based on JEE Main score. Except BTech in Food Technology and Biotechnology, the selection for all BTech specialisations is based on JEE Main. Q:   How many marks are necessary for B.Tech at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology?
A:

Your score and rank in JEE Mains will determine the chances of you getting into the college. Also, only your rank in JEE Mains is going to decide the branch you will be alloted. For branches like Computer and Information Technology, you really need to score good. Especially for general category students the closing rank is about under 40-50k. And for branches like electrical and electronics and communication engineering your rank must be around 90k. And for the rest branches like mechanical, industrial and production Engg, agricultural and civil engineering lower ranks under 3 Lacs may be considered.

Hope this helps.
